Age old mithaiwala shop, this one, at the Opera House cross roads, is extremely popular for its sweets and savouries alike. The crowd is ever increasing during weekends and more so during festival times.
This is a vaishnav food place, hence no Onion and garlic here. I have had endless number of samosas from here and needless to say, they are delicious. The grandest snack on their list of offerings has got to be the Raj Kachori. The Raj Kachori is a huge kachora stuffed with potatoes, pulses, crushed wada and generously loaded with sweet Dahi, Sev, masalas and chutneys. Must say it's a meal in itself!
Palak chaat was another dish I tried recently and found fine. It comprised of Hot palak pakoras with curd and chutneys. Tasted fine enough. Pav bhaji also seemed popular as I observed many orders being placed for the same. Mind you, it's not a proper sit down restaurant. Just a few tables and chairs and seating enough for 15-20.Totally recommended.
