Story:

I chose this book to prime the thirst of my English novel reading. These are thrillers and old time classics. The language used is good English and the story is framed in the late 1800. This is what is amazing, to take oneself back to that period and imagine the style of life, the feelings and the followings of the society of that era. One is gradually engrossed in the then prevailing believes, systems. This will make one read this book again and again.

It is a great work of campaign of the heroin and the event of her experiences. It is a mixture of romance, tragedy and if one can permit, some action too! As it was said that, this novel when published first, created great controversy.During that time some found it deeply moving and others said that it was a pessimistic work totally disagreeable and immoral.Read it for yourself.

Thomas is a great writer and I of few words of knowledge cannot say but this that it is a great work and it must be in ones collection.
