Here, in reverse order (best of the worst to worst of the worst) are the 10 least watchable tamil films of 2005. These movies were selected on the basis of being hyped with more expectations but failed miserably at box office.

10 Meesai Madhavan

In a year filled with lowbrow comedy, this film sunk the lowest. When a dog urinating on a man's face is the director's idea of comedy, he can't sink much lower. To make matters worse, the main track was aimless and even confusing and the comedy was irritating. You know the director is confused when the comedy track becomes mired in sentiments and ends on a sad note! Imsai Madhavan!

9 Jai Soorya

The film proved that even a dual role, usually the recipe for an entertaining film, can be used in idiotic ways. Logic and the film's quality took a steep dive after the introduction of the second role and the expected plot development of the two switching places. Jai Poor-ya!

8 Kicha Vayasu 16

When a hero appears in 3 of the year's worst 10 movies, its a pretty good sign that his screening process is screwed up. But forget Jai Akash. Simran's presence was the biggest surprise in this cheap and vulgar film about a student's crush on his school's headmistress. Rather sad goodbye for the top actress of most of the last decade. A Thulluvadho Ilamai-wannabe, the film had no redeeming qualities. Kicha Mark 0!

7 Kundakka Mandakka

Expectations are always high for Parthibans movie. The Parthiban-Vadivelu team was successful in Bharathi Kannamma,vetrikodi kattu and created a very memorable comedy track.The director was trying to make a full movie out of it and it failed miserably inspite of expectations

6 Dreams

Its a flashback movie and was expected on similar lines of thulluvadho ellamai. This year was a sliding career for dhanush with films bombing at box office and one among this became 'dreams'. The films lack good story , picturisation but loaded with lots and lots of vulgarity.The antics of Dhanush and his friend initially are quite crude definitely crossing the line of decency.

5.February 14

February 14 puts an end to the belief that bharath is not good at selecting movies.Director Hosimin manages to create a screenplay that is not always predictable. But unpredictability doesn't always equate to being clever or practical and that's the case here. all its characters seem devoid of basic common sense. After kadhal the expectations were high on bharath who had good acting and dancing skills but this movie became a flop. this was a 2nd flop for renuka menon too.

Surya again trying his double entendres (though it has only single vulgar meaning ) continuing with New for this movie failed miserably. New had simran, songs, picturisation , new story, surprisingly good acting by surya rendered its success.It is an idea that is original, looks good on paper and there are a few scenes that point to how the concept could've been interestingly exploited. But the possibilities are hopelessly buried under heaps of over-acting and vulgarity.this was also much hyped movie

3.Chidambarathil oru appasamy

This films talks about Thankar's irresponsibility, his obsession with religion and the his wish to be accepted by his family again.But depicted in a bad light as loud, drawn-out, irritating and eventually pointless movie which drags on seemingly interminably with absolutely no stuff.

2.Oru kalluriyin kadhai

Again the next movie for arya after Arindhum ariyamalum set with expectations. Flashback, amnesia, dull heroine, still more dull and occupied arya made it fail. This movie was constructed emphasising on friendship and untold love story but with full sadness and without any charm of college life. Arya is forced to look serious and morose all the time and Sonia gives him good company

1. Vetrivel Shakthivel

The bottom list will defntly have 1 satyaraj movie.Vetrivel Sakthivel is pretty obvious as another attempt by Satyaraj(after Jore) to help the non-starting career of his son Sibi.But this film offers even less than Jore, which atleast capitalized on the father-son chemistry between Satyaraj and Sibi. Satyaraj is little more than a supporting actor here, with none of the trademarks that his fans look for. Mixing terrorism, comedy , romance in irregular proportions make the movie to fail miserably.
