VERY BAD, VERY BAD
Sep 19, 2006 08:22 PM 6297 Views

There are good films, there are bad films, there are very bad films; but there are some which are hated as hell.  It is because these are films which are made by good film makers, film makers who have set standards and whose films people look forth to.  When these good film makers make mediocre films then they automatically turn into badly made movies.  I present my list here in:

1.  Dil To Paagal Hai.  If anybody other than Yash Chopra had made the film, then it would not be in my list.  The fact that Mr. Chopra has made such great movies and has set so high standards, this particular movie falls way below his standards.  It was boring and illogical.  No value for entertainement at all.  The only saving grace were a few good songs.

2.  Janasheen.  If Feroz Khan is the man who made Qurbani then it should have been his shadow which did the directing in Janasheen.  A very very bad movie.

3.  Devdas.  Sanjay Leela Bhansali made a mess out of a classic.  He himself realised it and made up for that with a class film called Black.

4.  Kabhi Alvida Na Kehna.  Come Karan Johar, grow up.  A good story idea but it was handled very badly plus some bad acting by its lead actors.

5.  Yaadein.  Just the same case like Mr. Chopra's in Dil to paagal hai.

6.  Dulhan Hum Le Jayenge.  David Dhawan got out of ideas.  He just shot something.  Too bad.

7.  Kabhi na Kabhi.  Priyadarshan got everything right; from his cast to his writers to his music director.  What he did not get right was himself.  With such a team he should have made a modern day classic, but what he did was let himself down and his fans.

8.  Jaadugar.  What a mess!!!! What a mess!!!!!.  Amitabh Bachchan hammed throughout the film so did Prakash Mehra.   Easily his worst movie.

9.  Toofan.  When Prakash Mehra can, why can't I, so thought Manmohan Desai and got even.  Again with Mr. Bachchan.

10.  Gentleman.  What was the need for a director of Mahesh Bhatt's class to remake a hit South Indian film and of that he did the worst any one could.  That was the begining of the end of Mahesh Bhatt.

There are countless other films which could be termed worse than this list, but I chose these because most of these films were made by accomplished film makers and that too with lots of experience except for Karan Johar.
