My ten favorites. Review on Ten Favorite Sports Personalities

If you consider from the angle of an European or American or any other country from Latin America, you will find cricket an unknown game. In the other hand like me, many fellow Indians are unknown about the best players of baseball, golf or squash, billiards etc. But India has produced many great players of Billiard, Golf or Squash or table tennis, badminton.

The popularity line of these games are very much low in our country. Though F1 is one of my most favorite sports but still it is untouched to many Indian sports lover. Only one sports of subcontinent has the power to reach into the brain, heart or in daily life, i.e. cricket. But now it is a very tough and unfair decision to choose our favorite sports personality from cricket. Here is my list of ten:-

-:Viswanathan Anand:-

In present world of chess he is one of the best chess player and for India he is the best ever Indian Chess player in the history of Indian chess. Though chess is one of the most popular indoor games in the world but we never give it so much importance. But this fighter really is the landmark of Indian chess. He has not only won so much titles of chess, he made India known to the world of chess as one of the best chess playing nation. But have we given him proper value for his work?

-:Diego Maradona:-

I was supporter of Argentina in the world cups only for this man. He possessed just the baby like characteristic in his earlier days and played sensational football in his lifetime. He spoiled himself by doping but still he is in the heart of the soccer lovers. In these days of robotic football, the skill of this player is really heart taking. Ronaldo tries to play such skillful soccer but still he is far more behind than this phenomenal Argentinean.

-:Sachin Tendulkar:-

Is there any need to explain about this player? I have mentioned it before that cricket is one of the religion in our subcontinent and Sachin is one of the living god of this religion. He is everyday making newer records and is going to reach the pick of the Himalaya of Cricket. Now a days India is a country of batsman and this little master is making the cricketing world stunned by his performance. The other Australian god Sir Donald Bradman told that Sachin plays cricket like him. So to win the heart of that great aussie is not the easiest thing in the world.

-:Martina Navratilova:-

I wrote my first review in mouthshut about this phenomenal fighter. One of the biggest reason to watch the women tennis is to observe the glamorous ladies in the tennis court. But this lady not only destroyed this basis, she just started to make the world thoughtful about ladies tennis as well as attract the tennis lovers to fetch them in the tennis courts. She is 46/47 now and still playing enormous tennis which is simply unbelievable in her age. Salute to her!

-:Saurav Ganguly:-

Another great fighter of our favorite sports. One of the best left handed batsman in the world and the best Indian captain ever in the history of Indian cricket. Yes, Sunny, Kapil, Azhar etc were great players but nobody captained India so well in the past. As an example, just watch the mentality of the Indian cricketers against Pakistan. In the past we saw many good Indian teams failed to make any impression against Pakistan, statistics proves that, nervous breakdown was the main reason. But now the word ?nervous breakdown? is nowhere in the dictionary of Indian cricket. I never saw in my short life to play India such spirited cricket ever. To develop the young players like Sehwag, Yuvraj, Pathan, Zaheer, Balaji, Kaif, Patel and to keep the best relation with the other senior fellows; Saurav just doing a great job wearing the Indian captain?s cap. Though he is not in his best batting form now a days but I am sure he will again come back in his form and make us proud. He is really the ?Dada Of Indian Cricket?.

-:David Beckham:-

Yeeeeees, I know, he is not the best footballer or a very good player. Though I like him very much. To watch football it is also a beautiful experience to see a very bright footballer wandering in the ground, kicking fabulous free kicks with great hair styles and making the fans just mad about him. He is no one, he is David Beckham. He is not the best footballer of the all star team real Madrid but he plays with his earnest effort for his team to extract the best results. This true professionalism makes him so much popular among the soccer lovers.

-:Michael Schumacher:-

For speed lovers formula one is the best option and in all the grand prix most of the f1 lovers prays for this man. Formula one is one of my favorite sports and I like this man very much. In earlier days I liked Mika Hakkinen but with his consistency Michael has won my heart. I started to see F1 car racing after few years of the death of Ayarton Sena and this driver is really one of the best ever f1 car racer of the world.

-:Michel Jordon & Tiger Woods:-

I am just mentioning their names because basketball and golf is not among my favorite names and I don?t know many about these guys. But it will be an unfair job if I don?t reveal their names.

-:Theory Henry:-

I am a blind fan of Arsenal football team and Theory Henry is my favorite player from English Premier League. He is a complete footballer and has the ability to lead the offence of any world class soccer team. This French man is going to give Arsenal the prestigious Premier league with his great style. His style which makes football so easy, hungriness for goals has made him a great footballer of this time.
