I Still remember the old days where television used to mean the ones in Doordarshan and the ads mostly used to be "Polio ka teeka" and "Grameen yojna" and all that janahit me jaari stuff..

But among those general awareness ads and public notices would come some extremely popular and thoughtful and charming advertisements who would make us smile, blush and happy...whenever we get to see them..

Those ads were indeed funny,sweet and profoundly adorable..

Those were the days when we would take time out just to see those ads..

Advertisements in those days were more popular...atleast for me... than the actual programmes that used to be aired...:=)

Well times are changing and indian television is fast becoming more and more addictive..I am sure you would never forget those Fevicol ads and cadbury ad's..

So, I thought of putting in a list of some of the best TV Ads so far..

And here goes the list..

1) SWEETEST AD

When I say sweet in advertisements...it kind of reminds me of a girl running across the cricket field....celebrating his boyfriends century..

"Kuch Khaaas Hai Hum Sabhi Main"-Cadbury's dairy milk..

Sweet innocent, the most watched, loved and talked about ad of the retro days..

Makes us so proud of us..

Cheers to indian Television ads...and to the charming Nostalgia..of those wonder years..

Here's to the older version of Kuch meetha ho jaye..

2) CREATIVE BEST

Happydent white chewing gum..

Muskurale..muskurale..

Well, in my opinion this has to be the most creative ad on indian television till date..the way the idea was brought to light was commendable in every sense of the word..

How the whole bunch of servants with the power of "Happydent White" light up the view..genius...

The brand image, the product values everything gets in line just perfect..

Creativity at its best..

So this ones the Creative best Ad on indian television for me..

3) BEST SOCIAL AWARENESS VALUE

This ad where due to a tree falling in the middle of the road, the road gets jammed and everyone starts to blame each other...then a little kid goes on to the tree and starts to get it out..Airtel....

The sweet and adorable look of commitment with a tinge of innocence on the boy's face, could melt even a monster...everyone jumps in and pulls the tree off the road..

Power of unity..well justified and superbly portrayed..

This one tops the best social awareness valued advertisement for me in indian advertisements...

4) FUNNIEST

There are hundreds of Ads which can be regarded as the funniest ads of all times...

Like the new ad which shows a match in which the boy innocently says..."Kenya jeet gaya" and takes the chocolate away...."Kuch meetha ho jaye"...

Or the one in which the kid keeps his small car going and replies innocently when asked as

"Ki karaan papa petrol khatam hi nain honda" -Maruti Suzuki...

or the one with the guy fishing "wanji muujja naale ..." Feviquick....ad.. :=)

Or the recent Virgin Mobile ad where the girl says "Mujhe ladko mein interest nahi hai"

and the father gets furious and eventually agrees for her Goa trip when her BF calls and says "Ladka hai achcha hi hoga"..."The trip is on" LOL..that was some creativity...

I dont know if everyone agrees with me or not..but the Fevicol ad where a man was unable to break the egg because the chicken was eating from that Fevicol can..

"FEVICOL ka Jodh hai tootega nahin"

LOL...superb..

My funnniest indian advertisement medal goes to this one.

INTELLIGENT AD

The most intelligent ad on indian television....now this ones a tough one..

There are a bunch of them qualifying for this post, like the Fevicol ad where the whole bus is leaning with passengers and they are all intact in it..or the new ad where two boys are shown playing with a football and an elephant comes in..which finishes with the boys playing with a baby elephant..tagline being--not only for the big boys...really intelligent..

But after a lot of thought...i had to go with two of the ads for this award :=)

5) INTELLIGENT AD1

This one is a real winner..

Remember the ad where two kids are returning home from school and the girl gets in the mud..

And the boy to help her feel better..kicks and punches the mud and in the end, sweetly and innocently says......."Sorry Bol Raha Hai!!!"..

Awww thats just adorable..

"Surf Excel..Daag Achche hain naa??".

I think this has to be one of the most memorable Advertisements on Indian Television...

Topping my list for sure...

There was another similar Surf excel ad..where the two kids fight just to keep their father from fighting...was another good one but...i would stick to this one...

6) INTELLIGENT AD2

My first vote will go to the new Virgin mobile ad, where a bunch of boys call MR.Mahalingam and pretend to be the girl..

"What are you wearing Mahalingam".

Superb..really intelligent..

And funny tooo..

This one bags intelligent ad award no 2 for me..

7) HEART TOUCHING 1

My favorite one will be the IDEA cellular ad in which small B(abhishek..hehe) comes up with an idea of education for all, where little munni and all others come to attend school via mobile phones..Little munni eventually wins the best student award and his father is so proud and so are we..

"Oh ho ho..Oh ho ho..Oh ho ho..ho ho..."

"What an IDEA Sirjee!"

Well this ones the most heart touching one for me..

8) HEART TOUCHING 2

Another one of my favorite ad's I dont know if others would agree, is the Havell's cable ad, where the mother is shown making rotis while his son is reading under a broken lamp.

While cooking, his mother burns her hands and the boy, slowly gets up makes a sweet little roti holder with a havell's cable lying around and hands it over to his mother...

Fireproof cables..from havell's...so sweet and innocent..

This one surely deserves a spot in here among the top..

9) BEST ANIMATED AD

Any guesses..

My vote goes for MENTOS..dimaag ki batti..indeed jalaa de..hehe..

Well this ones just real cool..

Daddu....lool...funny and intelligent and really enjoyable..

So this ones the best animated ad for me..

10) MOST ADORABLE AD

"Thola left.....thola lite...ok..

I have mole lettels..."

"Yes..beta..

Superb.......I think it was that child plan advertisement from Bharti AXA..

This one has to be the most adorable ad on indian television till date..

I love this ad....you fall in love with the innocense of this cute little kid..

Adorable ad....my bets on this one for sure..

And that completes my list of all time favorite and Best Advertisements of Indian Television..
