PLEASE NOTE: On getting some info from hermit, and believing its true, some of the songs included in list are copied/inspired and as I am aware of Anu Malik's copying, I am editing the title and this review, including this note.

Well, I think that now I am getting into new territory. God! what is happening to me (I am a great music lover, if you know!), but writing a review is totally different than listening to that music. And now its the turn of Anu Malik. Well, I didn't liked him, as a person (I saw many bad acts of him over many TV shows), and also he is a thief (He stole many tunes!!), but still there are many films, where he had given his original music, and mind it!! those are great tunes.

10.Murder, Songs: Bheege Hont tere, Kaho na Kaho, Dil ko hazar baar- All 3 songs in this movie directed by Anurag Basu are having a pleasant hymn with its music. Movie being a seducing-type needs this kind of music. Songs are having rhythmic tunes (aap gunguna sakte hain!)

9.Munnabhai MBBS, Songs: Subah ho gayi mamu, Dekh le, chhan chhan- Directed by: Rajkumar Hirani. 1st song "Subah ho gayi", is a refreshing song with a tinch of naughtiness in it. "Dekh le" is a pure seduction song having the laid-down music tunes. "Chhan chhan", is a romantic song with the feeling of a person who is feeling romantic, in this case its Gracy Singh, supported spiritually by slow tunes.

8.Jaan-e-mann,Songs: Hamko maloom hai, ajnabi shehar, sau dard- Directed by: Shirish Kunder. The movie is a journey about relationships between Salmaan and Preity, interfered by Akshay and filmed in a different manner. The theme was well supported by drama-style song "Hamko maloom hai", which is having varying tunes for all the events picturised in the song. "Ajnabi shehr", has a refreshing music having the feel of a new city, and "sau dard" is a sad song where our hero is crying for his love, to whom he abandoned.

7.Refugee,Songs: Panchhi nadiya pawan ke jhonke, aisa lagta hai, raat ki hatheli par - Refugee is a movie about inter-border connections between India and Pakistan, which tells a story of a man who has the role of taking the junta from here to there and vice versa illegally, brilliantly directed by J.P.Dutta. But he falls in love with a Bangladeshi/Pakistani girl. Then comes the question about border, which is depicted in soulful music of "Pancchi nadiya". "Aisa lagta hai" also follows the trend of slow music and is a romantic song between Abhishek and Kareena. "Raat ki hatheli par", has a tune which suits for nights. They're crossing the borders in night and the feeling coming in our traveller's mind are depicted in this song beautifully.

6.Akele Hum Akele Tum,Songs: Akele hum akele tum, raja ko rani se, dil mera churaya kyun- Directed by: Mansoor Khan. This time was considered as the golden era of Anu Malik, giving his best music. In "Akele Hum Akele Tum" Anu has given the music which the film demands. There is a father who is taking care of his young boy, nurturing him and he is alone, as his wife left him, this song sung by Udit Narayan and his son Aditya Narayan sets the mood of the movie. "Raja ko rani se", is a romantic song filmed with Aamir and Manisha and "Dil mera" is a sad song where Aamir is asking the question about why did his love left him alone. Song has Anu Malik's voice for english lines, embedded in between.

5.Badhaai Ho Badhaai, Songs: Raag banke, Teri zindagi mein, Dil bata- Directed by: Satish Kaushik, this movie can be counted as a flop (although I loved this movie), but its music was a superhit. The album is a total wedding kind of album, where "Raag Banke" can be considered as the bride song. The bride is getting ready and have new feelings about someone new entering into the life. "Teri zindagi mein" is a signature song which tells everybody that love is a very important emotion of life, experience it. "Dil bata" depicts the heart condition of a fat man who falls in love with a beautiful girl.

4.Kareeb,Songs:Chori chori, dil mera chura lo, haan judaai se darta hai dil - Movie directed by Vidhu Vinod Chopra has all songs with melodious tunes. Their is a love, the innocent love we can call and it requires soulful innocent tunes to support. So "Chori chori", with a feel of chori-chori love, "Dil mera chura lo", having the feel of calling your lover to meet you, while she's busy and the song "Haan judaai se" having the feel of seperation are perfectly matched with the emotions of movie, well done Anu Malik.

3.Imtihaan,Songs:Is tarah aashiqui ka, Do baatein ho sakti hain - Directed by: Harry Baweja. I loved these two songs very much, one of my favourites. Just look at the lyrics and then listen the song with the music, "Is tarah aashiqui ka asar chhod jaunga, tere chehre pe apni nazar chhod jaunga" This song was having the great music, which inspire every lover to show their feelings for their counter-parts. "Do baatein", is again a sad songs which is pointing out the reasons why did the heroin ditched the hero.

2.Border,Songs:Aye jaate hue lamho, Sandese aate hain, Hindustaan - Border is amovie based on 1971 war between India and Pakistan, which obviously India won. Movie directed by J.P.Dutta requires not only patriotic music but he demands a music for loved ones, their are situations in war when the loved one has to abandon their family to go to war, but they always wait for their family's letters even in the war-field. These feelings are depicted in these 3 songs, and it is this film which makes Anu Malik superstar music director. On one side there is a sepaeration feeling between the newly-wed couples ("Aye jaate hue lamho zara thehro zara thehro") and on the other side their are soldiers waiting for their loved ones' letters ("Sandese aate hain"). Then their is a war ("Hindustan hindustan"). This movie make the Javed Akhtar-Anu Malik bair hit and they continued after this for many movies together. Sonu Nigam and Roop Kumar Rathore also came in limelight and get awards for their singing for "Sandese" song.

1.Phir Teri Kahani Yaad Aayi,Song:Tere dar par sanam - This song was my all-time favourite. "Tere dar par sanam chale aaye, tu na aaya to hum chale aaye", sung by Kumar Sanu and Sadhana Sargam is about the feeling of love. Rahul Roy and Pooja Bhatt both loves each other, but unable to commit, and then they are sitting round a alaav (sorry for my english vocablury) in the night and thinking about each other. Song is beautifully picturised by director Mahesh Bhatt.

Well, as I told you earlier, that I am a big music-lover but it doesn't mean that I can describe music as well, so that's why in this whole review I stick up with the situations, instead of describing about music terms, instruments and melodies etc. So please pardon my knowledge. Enjoy these songs of Anu Malik. Some other songs I loved are from movies Baazigar, LOC Kargil, Kalyug, Zindaggi Rocks and Main Hoon Na all worth listening.

Ruchir.
