Note:How can one say which is the best of ARR?I suppose that's not possible.The following is the list of A R Rahman's songs that you can listen at any time, anywhere and will stir our soul.These are the few of the prodigy's numbers that inspired me a lot.Certainly most of Rahman's are best songs and here is just a few.

Hai rama(Rangeela)-

This song is first of its kind and the song stir my soul and when I'm alone at home I lay back hear this song and I wake up to see the world musically enriched.its a very strange feeling.When hariharan starts the aalap and gives way for the Indianized rhythm, its heaven.the tune of the song haunts you.

Sethansi Aag(Dil se)-

The track wasn't a commercially available one, but comes in as a BGM.The song is the best BGM of Rahman's and sukhwinder's voice takes the number to sway your pulses.The track comes in at many places in the movie and the best two places are

'When Manisha leaves Sharukh'-This has a set of tablas running behind and ends with a terrorist bang.'When Manisha Comes to meet Sharukh'-Great bassline and enriches your soul.

Ruth Aagayire(1947-Earth)-

Perhaps a number that reaches you a festive mood and the dholaks and percussion are astonishing.Deepa Mehta grabs the best from Rahman as Maniratnam does.The strings and violin orchestration are at the best and the tempo of the song is astonishing.There are certain moments in the song that left me spell bound.'Chunari jo teri.', '.Bazaar mein' and all those.fabulous!

Vellai Pookal(Kannathil Muthamitaal)-

Melody at its best.The slow acoustic guitars start to freshen up the air.The lyrics triggered for peace and harmony and the music simulates the environment.The song has a virtue of purity in it.When Rahman sings'Kuzhandai Vizhikkatumae', the bass line gear up to soothe your heart.

O.Bhavre(Daud)-

A neat melody sung by Yesudas and Asha is sure to  melt you.its a beautiful duet that inspired me at the first listen.The instrumentation of the song is one of Rahman's best.the combination of veena, Harmonium(though electronic), and the rhythm is compassionate.The song has two different styles in the stanzas.The second one is truly to your spirit.

Dil se re(Dil se)-

Certainly from Rahman's heart and is truly international.The strong rhythm and bassline make you rock.The high pitch and lower one carefully portrayed by Rahman.What can one say about the interludes.Fantastic.The song is a real treasure.Thank god!Atleast this song reached the masses unlike others(Of Rahman's Best music).

Khamosh Raat(Thakshak)-

The beauty of silence and night and when Rahman is there aside, what else do you expect.Breezy melody with the strings of guitar sway around us as if made for Perfection and they are.Roop kumar's voice is certainly the best suit.'yeh sach hai yah sapna'

Yeh Rishtaa(Meenaxi)-

Reena Bharatwaj's saccharine voice, keys that hypnotize, percussion that enchants and thats the soul of'Yeh rishtaa'.Wonder how Rahman has so much variety.Yah thats why he is a genius.Although not many of them know about this song, the song has its identity.When I lie pensive the song that enchants me.

Dheemi Dheemi(1947-Earth)-

A very slow melody that has very unusual interludes and bassline is sure to pick up the resonance in you.Hari's rendition is adds up to the song.When you are stressed and your blood pressure positive, catch up with this song, you'll know the essence.

Vennilave(chanda re)(Minsara Kanavu(Sapney)-

Another one beauty.Certainly the number that captivates you with the haunting rhythms running behind and a set of enchanting voices surrounding your bay.The interlude of string is so special.It starts normal and rages to a pitch that literally set my breath to fascination.

As I said before, these are not only the best of Rahman's but a few that inspired me and  the most I listen to.These numbers are a part of my life.Long Live Rahman!It is not fair to have a topic like this for revu, I mean like best of Rahman, Illayaraaja and all that.But even I couldnt cease myself from wriring this.
