I have limited my selection to movies post 1990 . So,here we go..
Devdas : The climax, with Devdas lying under the tree, sees Paro running towards him . He knows that she knows that he has kept his promise. The gate of destiny shuts just as she reaches it, and Devdas has left for a heavenly abode. The camera lift up and shows us a shot of Devdas and Paro, with the gate separating them.
Dil Chahta Hai : When Aamir Khan calls up Akshaye Khanna and tells him to 'just turn around'. They hug and convey the warmth of friendship like no one ever has . Or will.
3.Swades : When Shah Rukh Khan buys a glass of water from the boy at the station for 25 paise, the boy runs behind the train to return the change amount. The US returned Shah Rukh, shown only to be drinking mineral water throughout the movie, drinks the glass of water. His eyes are stung by the irony of the situation and he breaks down.
- Sarfarosh : When Salim goes to Aamir Khans house to confront him, Aamir Khan in a fiery soliloquey tells Salim that if he wanted to he could have become a IAS officer and lived a comfortable life. He points out to his crippled father( a result of terrosists) and says he chose IPS to bring them to justice.
5.Mohobbatein : A universal favourite , the pre climax scene where Shah Rukh tells Bacchan '' jahan se main dehk raha hoon, aap haar chuke hain'.
6.Black : When Rani Mukherjee pleads to her tutor Amitabh Bacchan that she wants to experience what a kiss feels like. With tears in his eyes he obliges and never before has a delicate scene been handled with such poignancy. The lump in your throat stays for a long long time.
Rangeela : Just before the climax,When Urmila explains to Jackie Shroff in the car that she actually loves Munna (Aamir Khan) , Jackie somehow has managed to give just the right expression. The pulsating backgound music too does the trick.
Andaaz Apna Apna: The entire climax scene where all the characters, display near perfect comic timing.
Munnabhai MBBS : The jadoo ki jhappi scene with the janitor....Dutt is at his endearing best.
10.Khakee : The scene in the police station when Bacchan in a fiery soliloquey explains to the inspector in charge the meaning of 'Duty'. I can never tire seeing this this scene again and again.
