My All Time Favorites !. Review on Ten Best PC Games

This is giving me immense happiness just by telling you 10 of my all time favorite games. So here it goes:

#10) Tetris:

I know ….I know….It’s the era of 3 D games, but this one has got one thing that many new one’s have not, and that is GAMEPLAY. This is also known as BRICKS. All you have to do is…arrange blocks/bricks, of different shapes, in such a way that you get plain lines over lines…lol….actually  4 of them. I mean if you can create four lines in one go, you get maximum points.( that’s why its  called TETRIS). Boy oh boy you play it once…and you’ll get addicted. Its real fun as you can play for hours without getting bored.

#9) Age of Empires: Age of Conquers

This one is a classic. This is a game where u build your Empire, yeah Literary, You are given few villagers and you are in prehistoric age, now  your objective is to grow from one age to another by collection resources and building all kinds of houses, monuments etc. You can choose to an ENGLISH or SPANISH or other civilization. Now grow your empire and if you have to destroy other’s. You  have an option to be diplomatic too.

#8) Mario:

Again it’s a typical arcade game. Not so amazing graphics but….again. it has what I need…Game play.  I can play it forever….lol. its cute and sometimes very challenging.  You are a Prince and your job is you save your Princess( cute na?) you’ll have funny animals blocking your way, how to kill them? just jump on them. It has only 8 levels…and each level has 4 sub levels. You’ll have to dodge a dragon in every 4th sub level. In short its quite interesting and playable.

#7) Half Life: Uplink

This is the very first game in the Half Life Series. You can put it in the category of “action” or “role play” or “Horror” Games. In fact it’s a combination of all these. This has both options…single player and multiplayer. Why I like it? this is why ……You are play the character  of this scientist named Gordon, You have no Idea what is going on and why are you here( in Mellissa Research Facility) Slowly you discover that this lab was experimenting with some aliens…and now its playback time. So have a nice A I  partner….a cop with you in some levels to help you kill those monsters. Imagine this….he( your cop friend) is talking to you and you are passing this room and suddenly he stops talking…when you turn around you see a huge thing eating him up…what should you do? Run? Shoot this beast? well I’ll leave that up to you to decide.

#6)Unreal Tournament:

I rate this one over Quake 3. What is it all about? Its about Shoot at first sight. Well Its about killing people ….killing with different weapons….different styles. Who so ever does this faster….is the winner. In single player version…you compete with BOTS( Computer controlled players). You have beautiful graphics and amazing weapons. If you have decent system then you might even see the pieces of your opponent when you blow him up with your rocket launcher. Wonderful game play .

#5) FIFA:

This one is getting better and better in every version. What is it? Arre Its FOOTBALL or SOCCER. I don’t think this one needs any more description. You can play in Single player mode as well as in Multiplayer one. It’s AI(artificial Intelligence) it very good. The models are quite realistic(in later versions like in FIFA2003) You can play in Clubs and then come to International circuit. The controls are bit tricky, as you only use A, S, D, F keys . But once you get the hang of it…You can give Brazil a run for their money.

#4) Soldier of the Fortune:

Nah…You are not playing “ ROBOCOP”….that’s what I thought….but you are a veteran soldier…retired after the Vietnam War. Now you were very good soldier(something like Stallone in RAMBO) Now you are called for help…as the world is in Danger….4 Nukes are stolen and are located in four different parts of the world. Your job? no price for guessing……yeah  right. SAVE THE WORLD…but having said that…its not that simple.you have all kinds of bad guys to kill. Great Game. Though it required a high end system and a good 3 D card but it is worth it.

#3) Clive Barker's Undying:

Warning! this one is Not. I repeat N O T  for people with weak hearts. You are called by an old friend….to his castle….just to investigate some “ strange “  things happening in this Castle. Well what started as a routine check…turns out to be one hell of an experience. The Cut Scenes are Life like…Sounds, Graphics, game play all are out of this world. Once you start it….you are totally inside the Protagonist. This all is complimented by a Great Story line. Almost like a movie. PS This game is based on the BESTSELLER Novel by the same name.

#2) Need For Speed – Hot Pursuit 2

It doesn’t get better than this,  I’ve got three words for this game…OH    MY   GOD!  it has all the sports cars….all the models…Every detail…. Photograph quality graphics and Real Physics.  All Blend in a single game. Very realistic. Again you have option to race with the BOT CARS or with REAL RACERS(Multiplayer). Its Fast and its defiantly Furious. .

#1) Cricket 2002

Tadaaaa… and the Winner is . another  creation of E A Sports.  CRICKET 2002. This is as real as any cricketing game can ever be. I am a sports freak so I simple love this one. Cricket being the most popular sport in India … I love it…and this game is simple Mind boggling. The body lanuage….the shots ….the bowling action…all looks very real. Thanks to the Research by the E A Sports. The actual moment of the player is captured and then these models are programmed to copy that. Now that’s what I call Virtual Reality .
