I bet all those who like Pancham like Gulzar too(Pancham ke saath Gulzar free offer!). If you have listened to any of Gulzar's narrations, you will understand why his words have so much'wazan'(weight).Gulzar is surely a genius and a pukka Kalakar as he is sankeee(crazy) as once he had burnt all his poems.God, we must have lost lots of splendind penned poems in that Impulsive act of his. But I am sure, that incidence must have rejuvenated the Gulzar that we read, listen and see today! Friends I myslef am a poet and Gulzar is one of my Guru's so this review is special for me!

1. Aye Zindagee Gale Laga Le(Sadma)
There can be very few songs which match the calibre of this song.especially the words. Humne Bhi, tere har ik gam ko, gale se lagaya hai.hai na!
This song speaks out about the attitude that Gulzar has towards life, and surely tells us that life has lot of things in store to offer us and it totally depends on how we look at it!
2. Tere Bina Zindageese Koi(Aandhi)
This is one of the masterpeices of the Pancham-Gulzar combination.I feel that the both have lived this song.they have experienced the song in their lives and thats why, it is full of such a Spontaneity.
Kaash aisa ho, tere kadmon se chuke manzil chale, Aur kahin, door kahin.Tum agar saath ho, manzilon ki kami to nahin. and further.Tum jo keh do to, aaj ki raat chand doobega nahin, Raat ko rok lo.Raat ki baat hain, aur zindagi baaki to nahin.
Don't you feel like loving someone to such an extent that that'someone' becomes the reason of your existence!?
3. Aanewala Pal Janewala hai(Golmaal)
Ek baar waqt se, lamha gira kahin, Wahan daastan mili, lamha kahin nahin.Thoda sa hasake, thoda sa rulake, Pal yeh bhi janewala hain.
What a thought.? The imagination of a'moment' falling out of'time', just like a pearl dropping down from a Necklace(remember the video of Kuch Na Kaho from 1942- A Love story). only a genius can think of such lines! Hats off to Gulzar saheb!
4. Tum Pukar lo(Khamoshi)
Honth pe liye hue dil ki baat hum, Jagte rahenge aur kitani raat hum, Muqtasar sii baat hain tum se pyaar hain, and further.Dil bahal to jayega is khayal se, Haal mil gayaa tumhara apne haal se, Raat ye qarar ki beqaraar hain.
Well friends, those who have loved someone in life, know how painful it is to wait for your loved one and to express your feelings to the'someone'. This song composed and rendered by Hemant Kumar is one of my favorite ones. You can feel the song penetrating straight through your heart and can feel the same thing when we see a candle light melting the wax.which exhibits how the desire to love someone is as Pure as the flame and the feeling is so soft and free flowing like the melting wax!
5. Tujhse Naaraz Nahin Zindagi.(Masoom)
Aaj agar bhar aayi hain, boonden baras jayengi, Kal kyan pata inke liye aankhen taras jayengi, Jaane kahan gum kahan khoya, Ek aansoon chupake rakha tha, Tujhse .
Sometimes I feel that Gulzar's lyrics are too heavy for commom man and only people who have a philosophical approach towards life tend to digest them(check me if I am wrong guys). Especially this song is a song which has to be experienced in life and then only one can feel what Gulzar wants to say.this song is sure for matured ones!
6. Musafir Hoon Yaro.(Parichay)
This is a gem of a song as the movie was also penned by Gulzar Saheb.and well apne Panchamda has to be involved!
This song reminds me of the peom Vagabond, by Robert Louis Stevenson, and his lines.Let the blow fall soon or late, Let what will be o'er me; Give the face of earth around, And the road before me. Wealth I ask not, hope nor love, Nor a friend to know me; All I ask, the heaven above And the road below me.

7. Haath Chute Bhi To.(Marasim)
Haath chooTen bhi tho rishthe nahin choDa karthe, waqt ki shaak se lamhein nahin toDa karthe
This song is very dear to me as the lyrics remind me of my brother whom I lost some years back. and there must be many like me who have lost their dear ones(some for ever, some just part ways) and have longed for them.
This song is such a pacifying one that it assures you that though the loved one is not in your sight and you have lost
contact with him/her, but the bond never breaks, the memories never die and these memories help us cherish the wonderful moments we spent with the dear one!
8. Roj Roj Ankho tale.(Jeeva)
Roj roj aankho tale, ek hi sapna chale, raat bhar kajal jale, ankhon me jis tarah khwab ka diya jale and further ahead.Jabse tumhare naam ki misree honth lagayee hai.meetha sa gam hai aur meethisi tanhai hai
This song has been given a great justice by the Trio of Pancham, Asha and Amit Kumar(one of his great songs, believe me). The lyrics speak a lot of the unconditional love that is expressed, a must song for those who have fallen in love!
9. Ek din sapnemein dekha sapna(Golmaal)
This is a hilarious song and what a combination has it spun along with it. Kishor Kumar, RD Burman and some part by Amit Kumar too! This is one of the best comedy lyrics I have ever listened to .especially 'Ekd din sapne mein dekhi, sapneeeee. HA!HA!HA!.only a genius like Gulzar can give Gender to a word like'sapna'.Hats off Gulzar saheb! This was a stalwart experimentation by the genius minds!
10. Khali Haath Shaam Aayee(Dil Padosi Hai)
Aaj bhi na aye aansu, aaj bhi na bhige naina.aaj bhi yeh kori raina, kori laut jayegi
What do I say, I am not even that liable that I can comment on this song of Gulzar saheb! What a rendition.simply
marvellous! The song is just worth listening.and I a really wordless.when it comes to commenting on this song!
Friends, I have tried my best to give some justice to this section and have expressed my personal feelings! But *main is layak nahi hoon ki Gulzar Saheb ki gaanon ke bare mein kuch likhun *, but I have tried to express my gratitude to Gulzar saheb as I have learnt the'wajan' of words and how to use the right word at the right time from him!
But I also believe that Gulzar would't have reached the height he has achieved today without the Maestro Pancham!.I would say that.Gulzar's songs were a just like the Adolescent girl, and Pancham transformed this girl into a beautiful Dulhan(bride) with his ornamental music and the essence of his love for Gulzar!
