Let me begin by wishing all the mouthshut members a very happy and peaceful new year!I have made a lot of new pals this year all thanx to MS and 2001 will forvere remain memorable for that reason.so Spacejunkie, teena, reviewer, venchasa, srini, shre, rahul, yashu, muby zewerwolf and all the others who  have well read, rated and commented on my revs.Thanx a lot.

well coming up is my list of what I thought were the top 5 songs made in hindi this 2001

(1)Zara Zara-Though I feel it's lacks the passion and the fire of the tamil verison'Vasikara' It is a  mystic charm in it's own sense .I mean I have been an avid music buff all my life but not one song has ever shaken me up or left me with such a lingering feeling as this one.this is one song which is simply superbly made and well it touches the peak of excellence with Bombay Jayshree's silky smmoth vocals, man this is one song which will remain a special part of my life forever.

(2)Gori Teri Aankhen-well this one song which always leaves me with tears in my eyes at the end of the song.Again a great musical composition, Kavitha and Lucky manage to dig deep into your heart and stir out emotions U havent felt in a long time.The video again very sensitively shot is the icing on the cake.on the whole a superb package for any music lover.

(3)Koi Kahe -DCH ignites the fire man this one hella peppy number is good enough to put anybody in a swinging mood, people with 2 left feet well this is ur turn to take a bow, who cares about steps just move to and  groove to this number of DCH .Saif, Aamir and Akshaye add further fizz to the song and the lyrics are quite youngish and filled with a lot of carefree emotions .

(4)Title track of Filhaal-if u scoffed at someone who said life could be defined in a few lines, well do some serious rethinking.Filhaal is well one such song which leaves u with many answers about life.Things u thought might be will probably never be.live for the moment  is what Filhaal is all about and Gulzar has done it again such a masterpiece in terms of lyrics and well Annu Malik well(I never though I would say this coz he is one man I believe has the most belief in cloning I mean who could imagine english pop songs recycled with our hindi dholaks)

is simply mesmerising and how can I forget Asha Bhosle's voice which will leaves u quite dazzled  The perfection this song acquires in terms of lyrics, music and playback is simply outstanding.

(5)Durr( by the Strings)-if there  was one song I should name even 10 years from now which really stole my heart the very first time I heard it I simply have to give it to this one .Man what an amazing song, this came at a time when one was actually reeling under the after effects of sweet, candy floss love songs, this was a love song with a difference .Faisal the lead singer is perfect in all the notes of the song(well being a music student myself I can surely say the notes he has tried and the song's pitch is something very unique and comes with a lot of Riyaaz which is practice with utmost dedication.)I mean this song also hinted at the merge of cultures between the dreaded neighbours and well it is indeed very heartening to hear indian classical notes in a pakistani band .On the whole well a superb creation of two indeed very gifted people.

well On popular Demand I guess I must Update my rev.yuppie I guess new year blues jus got to me so I did become a a lttle abesnt minded so here are another 5 of the best songs which have been included after a lotta listening( Trust me I am literally behaving as if I needed to make a national decision regarding the Grammies or something coz I kept listening to these songs again and again till my mom decided it was enough)to actually make up my mind for the other 5 .

(6)Kambaqt Ishq-yuppie man this was one number which I really did enjoy

.well Njoy is not the word, well the song simply rules when it comes to the beats and the remix well the picturisation was quite a disappoint, ent coz the maze dance was inspired from a Madonna Number.

(7)Sach Kah Raha Hai- YUP Shre this is one hella good Number, I mean the lyrics r quite a good one, I mean after hearing to the songs over and over again I kinda Did like RHTDM.This song too is kinda a very cool song and potryas the feelings of a jilted lover prefectly.

(8)Tum Bim-Well apart from the title Song I did like'Dekhte Hi Dekhte'

twas a good number with peppy beats and some good https://lyrics.

(9)Lagaan-well this is one Album I thought was overall good and trust me I am quite suprised I am sayin that it is jus good coz according to me A.R Rehamn is god.But somehow they jus didnt touch my heart or get me kicking it will do for a casual listening.

(10)asoka-Welll not Raat Ka Nasha but'Roshni Se' and'O Re Kanchi' probably, even Sun Sun was good.
