What is the one emotion that has everyone mystified? What is the one emotion that has started as many wars as it has ended? What emotion has had more plays, songs, and stories written about it than anything else? Love, that one emotion that makes enemies into friends and friends into enemies. So many legends surround this emotion, from the goddess Athena and Helen of Troy to Shakespeare's Romeo and Juliet. And What's a better time to write a review on this topic! Its a valentine day!

Dilwale Dulhania Le jaayenge!

Did Aditya Chopra realise he was making history while filming his directorial debut, Dilwale Dulhania Le Jaayenge?Released in 1995, DDLJ has become one of Shah Rukh Khan's biggest hits, and a classic. The film seemed to be the very epitome of romance, and established SRK and Kajol as the best jodi of the time.

Saathiya

Saathiya took a new look at marital life showcasing its ups and downs. The small day to day fights, ego clashes, and most of all, the expectations for everything to be as beautiful and dreamy as it was before marriage. The chemistry between Vivek Oberoi and Rani Mukherjee was astounding. Both actors bring out the frustrations and confusions of their love in great detail.

veer zaraa

Veer-Zaara was not an ordinary story - it's a Love Legend. Veer and Zaara's love legend. A saga of love, separation, courage and sacrifice. A love that was divine, a love that was whole-hearted, a love that was completely consuming, a love that increased with separation, deepened with sacrifice. A love that was an inspiration... and will remain a legend forever…

Kuch Kuch Hota Hain

Each and every frame of the movie was a breath of freshness whether it is the characters of Shahrukh ,Kajol and Rani, the sets of the movie, the music, the comedy or the emotions. Karan Johar leaves his own mark too by making a movie that balances out to be a perfect and simple love story, which leaves the viewer satisfied.

Devdas

The theme of the film was nothing new; in fact this was the fourth version of Sarat Chandra Chattopadhye’s novel to hit the screen. However under the direction of Sanjay Leela Bhansali, who co-wrote the screenplay , the story came to life thanks to a fresh outlook and innovative interpretation. The film is not perfect;but still a powerful love story..

chalte chalte

The film was a sensitive attempt at tackling marital relationships . There was a romance, comedy, a few contrived emotional scenes and melody all over the place. While the songs by Jatin-Lalit and Aadesh Shrivastava were mesmerizing, especially “Tauba”, “Suno Na” and “Dagariya Chalo

kal ho naa ho

Beautifully shot amidst the racy city of New York, with split screens and freezes, some very lilting music and one of the best actors (Shah Rukh) we have, the film had its moments of delight. For director Nikhil Advani this was a dream debut of sorts .The narrative was full of incidents guaranteed to moisten your eyes — simply because they drive the point home in such a saccharine way. Whether it is patriotism or love, its all very impulsive and even maudlin

Mughal-E-Azam

Mughal-E-Azam's themes of love, loyalty and sacrifice remain as relevant as ever - a true testament to director K Asif's vision and commitment.
