Here is my opinion on the great hindi movie composers
I have to start off with
Ravi - Love all his tunes, I feel so many are so hardcore sad and classical and so touching. If you an old songs, you gotta be lovin ravi saab's compositions

Choo lene do naazuk honton ko
Jaan-e-Bahar husn tera bemisaal hai, wallah kamaal hai arre wallah kamaal hai - such great singing by mohammed rafi, high high HIIIIIIIIIIGH notes)
these songs have really touched me so much, and all are ravi ji's tunes(all 4 beautifully sung by Mohammed Rafi)
BEAUTIFUL BEAUTIFUL STUFF
Naushad - more classical compostions, esp with mohammed rafi, I am more in love with songs from 50s and 60s, and okay some late 40s, and I love each and every song of naushad
my fav has to be o duniya ke rakhwaale, and basically all baiju bawra songs
songs from leader, deedar, amar, uran khatol, andaz - a lot sung by mukesh, mela - more mukesh, shamshad
one rafi song yeh zindagi ke mele, maybe some other one?
main hoon saaqi tu hai sharabi sharaabi - rafi and lata
Madan MOhan - one my favs also, beautiful tunes by this man, they say he did not really learn any music.
and such great talent.very old song of his from 55, basti basti parbat parbat gaata jaaye banjara, lekar dil ka ek taara, movie railway platform
good stuff
very catchy songs also- yun rootho na haseena, meri jaan pe ban jaayegi, tu mere saamne hain, teri zulfein hain khuli - sooooooooo gorgeous composition
hum pyar mein jalne waalo ko - lata
bhooli huyi yaadon mujhe itna na sataayo - mukesh
SD Burman - very very versatile, music again lasts with youforevr, such catchy beats and, very classical also, so many dif. types of compositions, just love each and everyone
used everyone like hemant, talat, rafi ji and kishore
more rafi and kishore, but he gave a lot of chances to singers
esp. geeta dutt alsooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo
GO GEETA! - tadbeer se bigdi huyi, suno gajar kya gaaye, I believe do bhai songs also.

Shankar Jaikishen - also I say very versatile and very popular songs, so many awards
I think most all movies of shammi had S-j'S MUSIC
very very catchy musiccc, and got classical like

OP nayyarrrrr - such weird tunes, but so nice stuff, very very very uniqueeee
deewana huya badall, subhaan allah haseen chehra
song from movie bhaagam baag, rafi and kishore sing - what a weird song but still so cool, more attention getterrrr.tumsa nahi dekha, mere saman - beautiful songs made.
CID had great songss!
he says on sa re ga ma that he gave chances to also geeta and shamshaad, not just asha
and said lata's voice did not match his music style
