I have to go to the nostalgic era when we had real good & original music directors & not copy cat version directors of english music but our very own desi music.

like Chitragupta of Meri soorat ter aankhen fame.

Who has not heard Shanker Jaikishan who could make Sangam a hit. Then there is Salil Chowdhury of Anand fame, there is Roshan of Bahu Begum fame as well as Kalyanji Anandji, Laxmikant Pyarelal, and most important S.D.Burman da his son R.D.Burman the songs done by these people can make you still sit & hear them & feel good. Also Madan Mohan ji whose songs sung by Lata ji still haunt you & to me my favourite has alway's been O.P.Nayyar ji his music from Kashmir ki Kali, Yeh raat phir na aayegi the song sung by Asha ji, Yehi woh jaaga hai yehi woh fiza hai yehi par kabhi aap humse mile thein.& from the same film Mein shaayad tumhare liye ajnabi hoon magar chand taarey mujhe jaante hein.

all these music directors gave music to lyrics written for songs and not just imitated anything from anywhere they all had their own style and each one praised each other for the work done by them they never commented or even hated one another as each were great in their own field have your'll heard the original Nagin music it could make you swoon and Vyjanthimala gave it what it needed hear the music of Madhumati you can still hum the songs.

People go gaga about Mein raastey pey ja raha tha bhel puri kha raha tha;or de de barah aana dede have they heard songs sung as well as music given By Kishore Kumarr for Chalti ka naam gaadi, paanch rupaaiya barah aana marega bhaiya nananna, I mean some songs make you feel disgusted to even hear yes Nadeem Shravan did a good job for little while & later gone the same way. I mean to say whether it is Hindi or English songs should have meaning the rhytm should sound good it should make something within you go bonkers then it is music but not something with no meaning and no rhytm it drives you crazy look I never wish to impose music I like in my own household behind my back I find them all even rock music lovers listening to music I sit personally & record my own personal cassettes from cassettes I buy I may recd one song and give the cassette away.

Music is my hobby which I love the most. I'm not bias to music directors of now days some are good but save me from Anu Malik please his attempt to sing makes me wonder do people like to make fools of themselves in public do it where no one would want to know who is this. And lyrics oh god help me we have excellent writer who eat biryani at home & write about it. There was a movie of Govinda recently on TV Saaja something only one song made me feel good, Dil jaane jigar tumpey nisar kiya hai it shows we still have something good left. If I have anything to say to music directors of this era it is do not let Indian Music die songs like Mera jhoota hai Japani created waves please do make music but of the original kind do not let the west drive u mad. Do you people realize that the West is taking our good culture & we folks are adapting their cultures which do not suit us  so change yourselves and bring back the good for us Indians.

Sorry I have blundered in something's so I sincerly apologise as according to me I have just begun writing reviews & everything takes a little time we learn by mistakes & so will I have you all heard a music director called Ravi if you do so hear him out for the time being I can exactly not pinpoint his good numbers as I do so I will edit my opinion, (1)song of S.D Burman da lingers in my mind always is sung also by him for the film Guide, Wahan kaun hai tera musafir jayega kaha dum le le ghadi bhar, (2)Talash the movie the same person sang & gave music again the song Meri duniya hai maa teri aanchal mein, & from the same film all his songs were brilliant beautiful music.Like Palkaon ke peechey sey kiya tumney keh dhala phir sey toh farmana sapno ne mehfil saajayi haj tum bhi chale aana.

Kalyanji Anand ji(1) Himalaya ki Godmein, song the most I liked was, Chand si mehbooba ho, Main toh ek khwab hoon& Lataji's Kankarya maar ke jagaya tu mere sapne mein aaya balma tu bada woh hai, these are called music directors not just one film hit but every film a hit they lived ate & drank music till their last days as most of them are gone I sincerly will go on editing this as music is my life.By the way the music by R.D.Burman was the best isn Ijaazat(1)Katra katra milti hai katra katra jeeney do zindagi hai behne do pyaasi hoon mein pyaasi rehne do.
