Watching movies is habit of almost every Indian so as I do. I seen many many movies but when it comes to favourites I have few and when they are only 10 then there is problem because my few are more than 10. Still I put the very best I like regardless the fact that any inspiration behind these or there is some ambiguity in their originality.

Dil Chahta Hai (2001)
Friends and friendship movies always attracted me and I give preference to those movies based on friendship as main subject. DCH is one those movies which I watched for 100 times and still I can see it for 100 or more times as I live the movie. The movie revolves around three friends their life and choice toward life partner. Aamir Khan looks awesome in the movie and his acting just mind blowing. Three friend having different nature but close enough that they share each and every event of their life. Farhan Akther’s direction is flawless and while watching you observe many good things in the movie. Some very special messages to the youth. Moreover the music of the movie is also very good the songs Jane Kyoun, Dil Chahta Hai, Kaisi Hai Yeh Rut and Who Ladki are the best songs and very well picturized too in the movie.
Dil Wale Dulhanya Le Jain Ge (1995)
I guess I have not found any single person who doesn’t liked this movie. Shahrukh give performance of his life and his pure expressions never let you down. The superior scripting and storyline made the movie the best movie of cinema history. Aditya Chopra’s direction makes you feel the movie. Though there is some lacking in the story but that what is movie. A full time entertainer. The music of the movie was also very good. Tujhe Dekha, Ho Gaya Hai Tujhko, Mehndi Laga Ke Rakhna and Ruk Ja O Dil Deewane are the best songs of the movie and also the plus point of the movie.
Dil Se (1998)
From jolly movies now take a break and come to some serious ones. Dil Se was considered as a flop movie and many things about the movie were written in the publications but in my opinion it is a wonderful movie. The acting by the lead cast is awesome and Mani Ratnam’s Direction also. The subject was a bit too dry but the way the story is unfolded makes the movie one of the best movie of all times. A R Rehman composes soulful tunes like Aye Ajnabi, Dilse Re, Jiya Jale, Sat Rangy and Chayyan Chayyan.

Kal Ho Na Ho (2003)
In last 2 years this movie was the one which attracts me the most. A very soft movie with some good enjoyable moments and some Rona Dhona finally a sad climax. The story of the movie started in a gorgeous way and then moves on with a constant pace. Shahrukh’s acting is marvelous. Nikhil Advani impresses with his first directorial adventure. Another reason for me liking this movie is New York I live in the same city. If you ask me the whole movie was a lie because it never happen people having that much time here to even meet others. Well Shankar Ehsan Loy—Kamal ka music simply outstanding. Pretty Woman, Kal Ho Na Ho (both versions), It’s Time to Disco and Kuch To Hua Hai every song was the best and picturization worth mentioning which is awesome.
Kuch Kuch Hota Hai (1998)
Again a college-love-friendship sort of movie and my favourite. Karan Johar’s imaginary college fascinates me so much. Shahrukh Khan you are the best and he proves that in this movie. First half of the movie is so cute that I never wanted that to end. Story was quite simple and simple situations and excellent executions made the movie a special in my diary. Music was also super hit. Kuch Kuch Hota Hai, Ladki Badi Anjani, Tujhe yaad Na Meri Aai and Yeh Ladka Deewana are superb songs of the movie.

Rehna Hai Tere Dil Main (2001)
The movie is considered as a flop but I rank the movie high. Madhvan acting and Dia Mirza’s simplicity was mind blowing. Each and every moment of the movie is loveable. Don’t see the movie critically just look at the emotions and power of love in the movie with some stylish acting by all the actors. Another special thing in the movie is its music and more specially its background score. That change your mood each and every moment and the movie become a memory. Harris Jayraj’s music is commendable. Why he is not given chace again in Hindi cinema it is still mystery to me. His regional movies are not in my apoproach and also I am bound with language so I have to stay with his only this Hindi movie music. RHTDM, Zara Zara, Such Keh Raha Hai, Dil Ko Tumse Pyar and Kaise Main Kahoon Tume are the best of the songs.
Gardish (1993)
Most of you will be surprised to see this super flop of its time in my list. But I like the idea and basic concept of the movie especially the visuals are awesome in the movie. Priyadarshan done a super job in the continual of the movie and his direction is simply outstanding. R D Burman’s music was good only two songs which are my favourite Yeh Mera Dil and Hum na Samjhe the. Anybody who like to see art movie must watch this movie. Jackey Shrof’s acting steal my heat and with Amaresh Puri g in a rare positive role give a finishing touch to the greatness of the movie.
Virasat (1997)
Another Priyadarshan’s movie and with a grand scale this time. He work on minute things with details and the speciality of the movie is Ravi K Chandarn’s cinematography. Anil Kapoor is good in the movie and Amaresh Puri g done his best in the role. The movie technically perfect. Anu Malik give good songs in the movie Payalaen Chunmun, Ek Tha Raja, Dhool Bajne laga and Taray hain barati are my favourites.
Hum Aapke Hain Kaun (1994)
A wedding movie. Whole Indian traditions are followed in the movie. Most successful movie of Indian cinema. I like it too. Madhuri and Salman pair look gr8 in the movie and they worked with passion. Infact the whole team worked with passion. Suraj Bharjatiya produced the best movie from him. The whole family entertainer. Ram Laxman gives good music, Wah Wah ram g, Jotay Do Paisay lo ,Dedi Tera Dewar and Pehla Pehla Pyar are my favourites in the movie.
Jo Jeeta Wohi Sikander (1992)
Teenagers movie. My most beloved movie. In my winter vacations I used to watch the movie daily. Aamir Khan, Ayesha Jhulka and Pooja Bedi every ones acting was awesome. I don’t know why the movie cant meet the success. Mansoor Khan directed the movie after 4 years and produced an outstanding movie for movie lovers. The music was good Sher Ki Pariyoon, Yahan Ke Hum Sikander and offcourse Pehla Nasha are the best of the songs.
All these movies are my best favorites and I have all of them. the prominent factor I have noticed in all these movies is that they are not vulgar movies and the main focus is toward the theme of the movie not the other factors to make the movie a super hit.
