10 best Hollywood movies !!! awww c?mon can?t we make it atleast 50 or as a last bargain let?s say 30.Its been an hour since I am struggling with myself to reduce my list to 10.Now that I have done it ,how would I ever face many of those great movies which I couldn?t include in this list.I owe an apology to them all.Forgive me Oh great movies for insulting thy greatness by not including thee in my list, Amen.

I may be prejudiced while selecting some of the movies ,I ll tell you where it is so.

Let?s move on to my list then?

Jerry Maguire

I am biased here ppl,I feel some association with the movie and therefore love it.

Directed by Cameron Crowe and starred by Tom cruise,Renee Zelweger,Cuba Gooding Jr..Its a touching story of a sports agent who disappointed by his unethical boss ,leave the office ,accompanied by a fish and renee zelweger.Finally the hero is able to prove himself by successfully promoting Cuba Gooding Jr.What impress me most is the attitude of Tom Cruise in the movie.stick to friends no matter what happens.

Life Is Beautiful

Roberto Benigni at his best ,as an actor and as a director also.

The humour in first half is hilarious .In the second half who dare not admire the optimism of the father(Roberto benigni) who is taken to a labour camp along with his son.The father make his son believe that they are here to play a game ,in which if he is able to hide himself they will end up winning a tanker.

The movie has taken a lot many academy awards in foreign category that year.

Titanic

Any list is incomplete without mentioning this wonderful masterpiece.

Describing the details would be an insult(who doesn?t know about it?).

As Good As It Gets

We have no doubts about the greatness of Titanic.

Then what was the reason that year when almost all awards were swept away by Titanic ,the most sought after Best Actress and Best Actor award went to As Good As It Gets.There should be something very good about this movie ,and that good thing is unprecedented performance by Jack Nicolsan and Helen Hunt.

Casablanca

Play It Again Sam

I accidentally saw this movie on a day when I wanted to torture myself with an oldie.

But surprise!!! There I was watching a wonderful movie(and it atually made me revise my opinion about the golden oldies).

Directed by Michael Curtiz(got the name from net and know nothing about the director),and starred by Humphrey Bogart,Ingrid Burgman the movie is a love triangle .Setup is second world war,refugees waiting at Casablanca to get visa to Lisbonthere gateway to safety,and wait they did until and unless they are very rich.

Shrek

Now what good is a list if doesn?t include an animation.

An ogre falling in love with a beautiful princess.An animation which is equally good for adults as well as kids.

Best part is the donkey ,voiced by Eddie Murphy.

Moulin Rouge

No laws ,no limits,one rule ,Never Fall In Love

Here comes the great musical directed by Baz Luhrmann.

A poet fall in love with a beautiful carnival actress,what a mistake when a duke was also aiming the same woman.

Nicole Kidman gave a stunning performance(I wish she could win oscar for this role ,instead of getting it next year for The Hours).

God Father

Actually my list would include 12 movies instead of 10 now,Cause all the three parts are simply unforgettable.

Directed by Francis Ford Coppolla starred by the paramounts of Hollywood Marlon Brando,Al Pacino,Robrt De Nero(in sequels),the movie is based on the famous bestseller Godfather by Mario Puzo.

Elizabeth

Being an Indian I can?t overlook this daring and amazingly good effort by Shekhar Kapoor.Cate Blanchet did a wonderful job as Elizabeth.The story is well known to everybody ,how Elizabeth became the virgin queen.It is the grand setup and excellent costumes which are worth seeing.

Castaway

A one man show by Tom Hanks,it couldn?t be better I guess.

I would have given a thousand Oscars to Tom Hanks for his never to be forgotten performance.

A person stuck on an isolated island for several years,nobody to talk to except a ball which he has personified as his friend.

The movie leaves an imprint on your mind.
