ZZzzzzzz ah I'm falling asleep!

Wow it is March 23, 2003 and I have been watching all the Actors and VIP's arrive in their stretched Limos and walking down the red carpet waving to their Fans and stopping for a short interview for the ABC Presenter we will finally watch the 2003 Academy Awards.

Gosh don't all the Men look handsome. Some of the Ladies have new hair cuts. Oh why is she wearing that tacky dress? Ahhhh doesn't she look gorgeous. Wow would I love to fit into that dress!

On my TV Screens we finally are inside the Theatre. The Cameras pan so we can see the most important People who are sitting in the ''red carpet seats'', (front rows). The lights dim and....

A VOICE OUT OF THE ETHER SAYS:

''Ladies and Gentlemen here in the at the Kodak Theatre and our views who are watching ABC TV and from the 150 Countries around the World welcome to the 75th Academy Awards.

Ladies and Gentlemen please help us thank the Cadillac Company for being the being the sponsoring our Show this evening.

Let's give a warm welcome to our Host, Steve Martin.''

Please remember any 10 best Movies don't happen alone. That's why I have include a bit more in this review.

I hope Queen Latifah wins as she was wonderful in ''Chicago''.

THE NOMINEES FOR THE BEST DIRECTING ARE:

CHICAGO: My Chicago review: https://mouthshut.com/readreview/30583.html

GANGS OF NEW YORK is a Movie that takes place in 1869. The area is in lower Manhattan. The Cival War, (between the North and Southern States), has begun. A 15 year old Irish-American Immegrant returns from the War to get his revienge from the Man who murdered his Father.

THE HOURS:My The Hours review: https://mouthshut.com/readreview/32342-1.html

THE PIANIST:My Pianoist review: https://mouthshut.com/readreview/33165-1.html

TALK TO HER s a Movie about a Woman Bullfighter. She meets and then falls in love with a Journalist. She is gored by a Bull and has to go to the Hospital. She has a Male Nurse taking care of her. This is the Movie is the Story of the two Men who spend time talking to her while she is asleep.

Roman Polanski who Directed the ''Pianist'' should win, (if he does it will be interesting to see if the Government of the USA will allow him to come back to accept his Oscar). I think the Academy is still mad at him so I think Stephen Daldry will win for Directing ''The Hours''.

THE VOICE SAYS:

Please rise and give a standing ovation the the Represetatives of Price-Waterhouse-Coopers Auditors who have kept the secret ballots under their Suit Jackets so none of the Nominees could find the evelopes and open them before the Academy could announce the winners.

These are two very old People so they will be walking very slow. They have been working for the Academy since the Awards began.

  • Are you yawning yet? I am and almost am asleep! My Husband wakes me up and gives me a cup of hot chocolate with marshmallows on top.

During the Program we hear all the songs that were nominated, (Original and the best Adaption). I'm always awake to hear them!

  • It's time to wake up now the last three Awards are about to be presented. I say to my self, ''Self why didn't you watch something else on TV and turn on ABC now?''

THE NOMINEES FOR THE BEST ACTRESS IN A LEADING ROLE ARE:

Salma Hayek

Nicole Kidman

Diane Lane

Julianne Moore

Renée Zellweger

Nicole Kidman who played Virginia Wolfe in ''The Hours'' will win this Oscar.

THE NOMINEES FOR THE BEST ACTOR IN A LEADING ROLE ARE:

Adrien Brody

Nicolas Cage

Michael Caine

Daniel Day-Lewis

Jack Nicholson

I hope Andrien Brody wins for his role in ''The Pianist'' but I think the Academy will give the Oscar to Jack Nicholson.

The following are my choices for the 10 best Movies.

THE NOMINATION FOR THE BEST DOCUMENTARY FEATURE ARE:

  1. BOWLING FOR COLUMBINE is a Movie about how much the People of the Unites States won't give up their Guns.

  2. DAUGHTER FROM DANANG is a Film about an Asian-American Womean who meets, (22 years later), her Mother in Vietnam.

  3. PRISONER OF PARADISE is a Movie of the story of the Italian Soliers who were captured during WW II and were sent to POW, (Prisoner of War), Camps in the USA.

  4. SPELLBOUND is a Film about Children who are taking part in a Spelling ''Bee'' Championship.

  5. WINGED MIGRATION is a wonderful Movie about the Birds who live in ''Microscomos''.

I hope that ''Winged Migration'' wins the Oscar because the Birds are captured on film as they are flying.

THE NOMINEES FOR THE BEST PICTURE ARE:

  1. CHICAGO

  2. GANGS OF NEW YORK

  3. THE HOURS

  4. THE LORD OF THE RINGS: THE TWO TOWERS

  5. THE PIANIST

I hope ''The Pianist'' wins this Oscar but I think that

''Chicago'' will.

EVERYONE WHO HAS WON AND OSCAR APPEARS ON STAGE AND SING:

  • This song was written by Michael Sheriton and Bud Friedgen in 1929 and was first seen in the Zigfield Follies.

''The plot could be hot simply teaming with sex, Or it could be simply edifice rex.

THAT'S ENTERTAINMENT!

The Bride with the Groom at her side, Or the Cowboy who's along for the ride.

THAT'S ENTERTAINMENT!

The Guy who'd brought his Daughter who caused a lot of bother.

THAT'S ENTERTAINMENT!......''

THEN THE VOICE OUT OF THE ETHER SAYS:

Ladies and Gentlemen who are still awake out there in TV land this ends our 5 hour presentation of the 75th annual Academy Awards.

If you are not awake you will be able to see the winners on ABC's Morning Show or on your local TV Station and in 150 Newspapers around the World.

As the Show ends the Auditorium is half empty because the People who didn't win any thing or weren't nominated have gone to the many parties that are being held.

IN MY DREAMS I AM NOW GOING TO A PARTY:

I'm going to the won that is being held at the Wolfgang Puck's Spago Restaurant. Because no one lent me my cloths I am wearing arm pads in my arm pits so I can return the dress the next day, (I've tucked the price tag into the belt on my Ball Gown).

No one lent me any jewellery so I am wearing fake diamonds and emeralds, (I'm sure no one will know the difference).

I went to Make-up Department of Barneys Department Store and Jordon Samuel who did the makeup for Chicago was in the Store and he was happy to demonstrate the L’Oreal Paris he used for the Stars of Chicago. It is still perfect because this make-up never comes off until you take it off.

My hair is curly and cut very short so I didn't have to go to a hairdresser.

MY FINAL THOUGHTS:

ZZZZZzzz oh my goodness Mr. C is snoring again! Why does he do that it wakes me up!

I wonder if the what I picked will win the 2003 an Oscar?

Every year I wonder why I watch the Oscars. Many of the Movies I haven't seen and I don't care about most of the categories.

I know that next year I'll be watching the Oscars again.
