Devotional songs from films. This is a topic that I never did think I would be writing, but here I am. These songs I mention here under have been inspiring for me .
1) Allah Tero Naam - Hum Dono, lyrics by Sahir Saab, music by Jaidev. This is a soulful song having amazing https://lyrics. It shows in its popularity even today doesn't it. Incidently for those who wanna know it, the song is based on raaga - gaud sarang.
2) Duniya na bhaye - Basant Bahar. The Song has been set amazingly by Shankar Jaikishan. For me this melody has me listening to it more than often.-Based on Gurjari Todi.
3) Man Tarpat - Baiju Bawra - This is a soulful rendering done in Raag Malkauns. This is supposedly a tough Raag to render, and Mohd Rafi's rendition here makes your hair stand up truly.
4) Sukh ke sab sathi - Gopi. While I am not sure of the film( Correct me if I am wrong), I am positive about this soulful number. Amazing lyrics, trust me
5) Hum Ko man ki shakti dena - Guddi. This is one song I almost swear by. The lyrics raise my level of self confidence each time I listen to it. The first verse itself is an inspiration - Hum ko man ki shakti dena, man vijay Kare, doosro ki jai se pehle, khud ki jai kare.Wow( It means - let me control my mind, gain victory over it, before I praise others, let me praise the self.)
6) Itni Shakti hume dena daata - Ankush. This is indeed a powerful song from a powerful film. The lyrics are amazing, and awe inspiring.
7) Tu Pyaar Ka sagar Hai - Seema.Rendered truly well by Manna Dey. This is also an amazing song.
8) O palan Hare - Lagaan.Somehow I like this song as well.
9) Ay Malik Tere bande - Do aankhe baara hath . This is another of those great songs.
10) Darshan Do Ghanshyam - Narsi Bhagat. Set in Raga Kerdar, this has been rendered well by Manna Dey And Hemant Da.
Well These are my selections. And the truth is is The order here is of no concern. I like all of these songs. Well, to be honest, hum ko man ki shakti - tops my list any day.
