Well TV is amongst te best friends of all living humans...it can make u happy...it can make u cry...it can change ur mood..it is a friend in need and so a friend indeed.


and commercial advertisments are an integral part of the idiot box.infact these days the number of adds on TV far out number the number of programs!!!out of a 30 min show...atleast 15 minutes are dedicated to the add-films!!!!so then these are a clear winners in themselves.


wel since we spend an average 50% of our TV viewing time watching these commercials..which I guess influence everyone to buy stuff...(i dont know why and how???)should not be taken lightly...so talking serious let us go deeper into studying add-films!!!(lolzzz)ok read on.....i am kidding...;)


add films not only provide information but great inspiration(to change the channel) to us...and nothing can be better than add films between movies(like 25 of them together!!!wow)..and by the time the ad break finishes u have forgotten what the movie was about!!!


but yes some of them are great ones...really touching...though I wonder how many people wish to buy the product after seeing a good add...but yes the kind nd amount of imagination and creativity and MONEY put into these add films cannot be overlooked.so here I start with rating The Commercials of 2005...


The 10th Best TV Commercial - MARUTI ALTO....Let's Go...a perfect way to inspire the buyers...for a change an add shows what the product actually is for (going for a drive) and does not uselessly flaunt semi naked women and little children.The catch line became really famous.


The 9th Best TV Commercial - ASIAN PAINTS...Har Ghar Kuch Kehta Hai...a pleasant advertisment for interior designers...as it educates people that colours on the walls portray the feelings and mind of the inhabitants.And yes..alot of brains there for making the catch line...(much better than the ''jab ghar ki shobha..nerolac'')


The 8th Best TV Commercial - SANGINI DIAMOND JEWELLERY.. A Diamond is Forever...the least we could expect was jewellery being advertised..but here we have great minds who can make something like ''diamonds'' seem a necessity...and ofcourse the famous personalities telling us how diamonds made a difference in their lives(huh...)(remember Raj Mata Gayetri Devi discussing the first ring she got from her husband while he was wooing her...was that sangini or de beers??....well I dont even know the difference!!!)


The 7th Best TV Commercial - COKE...piyo Sir Utha Ke(drink it with a head held high)...the main attraction..Amir Khan....he just go married for the two and a half'th time(half is for..remember that british reporter and her little son who resembles Amir??!!)...wel all he does is ''sir utha ke''(with a head held high)...a wonderful add...dwelling on somthing we wuldnt have ever noticed...our head actually goes up when we drink coke(also when we drink pepsi and mirinda and beer and wine...even water!!)


The 6th Best TV Commercial - JEEVAN SATHI.COM...Don't Marry The Biggest Mistake Of Ur Life...well the right advice for the youth of today!!!warns men against marrying remote-controlling wives...(though I dont see any harm in that..right girls??lolz;) )


The 5th Best TV Commercial - MASTER CARD...For Everything Else There's Master Card...well well..what a pleasant change from the old adds showing credit card useful only because the pockets dont bulge out with the bundles of cash u carry if u dont have a card!!!and this add is special...highlights the ''priceless'' moments of life...the way this add effects is indeed its viewers...''priceless''.


The 4th Best TV Commercial - CHEVROLET OPTRA...WOW...now this is a great one...bringing an international brand to the real India...the husband driving the wife to see the moon and break the karvachauth fast!!!did we ever realise cars could be linked with fasts???!!!but a really well done one!!!(the girl,ie,the wife is not only very pretty but also supports great expressions of surprise and happiness!!!


AND NOW THE 3 BIG ONES......


The 3rd Ultimate TV Commercial Of The Year Goes To... - HUTCH...Wherever U Go...well who can forget the sweet boy and the sweeter poodle running after him...as long as theHutch people dont mind comparison with ''dogs''...its a perfet-ish add...imagination flowing really high...who thought there could be small boys and musical instruments and dogs in mobile connection adds.


The 2nd Ultimate Add Of The Year Goes To... - SURF EXCEL...Daag Ache Hain..Amazing Commercial...reminds me of my big bro everytime I see it...2 VERYYYYYYYYYY sweet kids...and deeep love betwee them..What An Add!!!..besides its a pleasant change from the difference between unwashed and washed(or new) shirts and stuff...doesnt show any washing...just making clother dirtier!!!!well having dirty clothes after all is not a crime under the law!!!


The WINNER Of The Ultimate Commercial Of The Year Goes To... - AIRTEL...Express Yourself...a classic translation of(insaan phone leta hai baat karne ke liye-Relience)...well the best part about the add is that it shows exactly what a phone is for..and provides an inspiration to talk on the phone...ie..to use the product!!!


well can I give away a SPECIAL PRIZE..???....


The Special Prize For The Most Outstanding TV Commercial Of The Year Goes To... - LUX...Shah Rukh Khan....the first ever male model in any beauty soap add...well is it that the add makers have started accepting that they can incite the female's by showing semi nude men???hmmmm...i c women coming equal to men now!!!lolzz...But yes...great guts for SRK,and the 4 beauties sitting arond him..stilas beautiful as ever...and yes Hema Malini looks as young as Karina and Sri Devi looks much younger than Juhi Chawla...but SRK is the ''center'' of attraction...he looks hotter and younger than them all!!!(wasnt it embaressing for u SRK???)



so u may say that the year was not for the coke-pepsi rivelry that existed in 2005...infact brands like limca and mirinda did not even produce many great adds.and yes there were other like...Aman Verma's ''shit pot cleaner'' HARPIC add..and then Roshan Abbas came in his place...but I guess I will mention the like in the 10 worst adds of the yr!!
