Compact Disc are now a days known to be as "Vintage Recorders".  They usually come with 700mb capacity. But those days about a decade ago, these Discs wer actually ruling the world of storage.  But today in front of storage devices like Flash Drives, memory Cards, External HDDs, DVDs., these CDs have almost vanished.

CDs are available today only with installed softwares, VCD movies, Some companies providing Software CDs to their customers and so on.

I basically have stopped using CDs any more. I currently only use DVDs and that have become rare after I got new heavy storage pen drives and HDD.  Also today DVDs are also known to as high capacity CDs and also CDs and DVDs come with same brands.

=My best to worst are CD(aka DVDs) are=-

1) Sony CD/DVDs - The one which I have been using for over 7 yrs now. Previously I used to buy the Sony DVD and CDs in lose packs. But for the past 5 yrs until last yr I have been buying these only in 10 DVD packs. they cost about 250 rupees per pack.

previously, sony wer the best. out of 10, all the 10 write great without any problem. But recently sony has degraded. Out of 10 only about 6 or 7 burn successfully.  Also some DVD dont last longer while stored!

2) Verbatim DVD - Well I have never got these yet but going to buy a pack very soon. They r known to be the best DVD in class and never fail while burning.  The DVDs are most suitable for creating recovery Discs for ur OS.

3) HP CDs - These wer the another CD brands I have used before. really last longer. I have never got or used the HP DVDs. But the HP cds are very strong.  But r little expensive.   I dont think HP cds are available anymore.

4) Moserbear CD - Actually wer good in the early stages and used to burn without any errors. But recently these CDs are started to fail enormously. I recently bought about 5 moserbear CDs and 4 of them depressingly failed!  I dont use these CDs anymore.  But today moserbear are still considered by many including my brother.

5) TDK Cd - Just like HP these wer also great brands of CDs available about 10 yrs ago. well I hardly used them but they wer very good and wer able to widthstand scratches.   These Cds wer hard to find in the market.

6) all other local brands - Well I dont recommend them, but sometimes, these local brands with various names perform a lot better than the branded ones.   Only luck plays the main role for these unbranded CD and DVDs.

==Overall, == I would say Verbatim and sony are better to go but never go with moserbear.  they r worst.
