1.Salaam Namaste-SALAAM | NAMASTE is similar to the successful SAATHIYA and HUM TUM in the sense that it looks at the delicate bonding between two youngsters, starting with inkaar, leading to ikraar. But it charters a new path gradually… Siddharth Raj Anand, who has also penned the script, focuses on light moments in the first 40 minutes or so, making you comfortable with the goings-on and situations, with the characters, and then comes to the point. The concept of living together without taking the sacred vows of matrimony is not alien by any standards in real life.

2.Black-Michelle McNally [Ayesha Kapur/Rani Mukerji], born to an Anglo-Indian family, is deaf and blind. And the frustration leads to mood swings. As a result, she becomes destructive and violent on several occasions.Debraj Sahai [Amitabh Bachchan] is an eccentric. An alcoholic, he is dedicated to his profession of being a teacher to the deaf-blind.

The principal of the school, an old friend, believes in his ability and sends him to the McNally house to teach Michelle. But this is just the beginning.

3.Parineeta-The simple story of two childhood lovers gradually falling in love has been handled with simplicity and conviction. 8.PAHELI-

PAHELI is a simple film, revolving around simple characters. Yet, it works, partly because of a story that defies the stereotype, partly due to the super-efficient performances, partly due to the well-crafted screenplay and partly due to director Amol Palekar's convincing storytelling.
