Oh gosh! awk, puke !! well i had given up reading Fiction after I read 'Complete Works of Swami Vivekananda ! After reading what life is all about after all - I found it rather ridiculous to read and waste time on Fiction - imagine as children we read Cindrella, Rapunzel ...and then we get a gory shock of a life time when we read Sidneys and harrolds - yuk !
What imaginations...or is it based on reality? if it is -then well our world - Mother Earth is definitely in a bad shape !! Anyways, recently I was Counselling (not con-selling ha ha ha ) a young girl - very smart . I asked what kinds of books , novels she reads. She answered ''Sidneys'' - so I asked her the last one that she read - She said - ''Tell me your Dreams'' - and she told me the story of Tony , Ashlette...Multiple Personality Disorder..and blah-2.
It so happened that I got enough free time last november and loo behold ..uncanni-ly this book was right in front of me. I read it.
Story of a girl raped at the age of 6 by her own father who had taken her to an official tour. She reported to her Mother , but she was snubbed - she became vindictive and whenever any man approached her, she used to get defensive and seduced him to ultimately murder him !...as Tony !! she was put in a mental asylum kind of a hospital and the doctor treating her silently started loving her as well...but could never confess it...fear of being murdered? So all the FBI agents ...scotland yard detectives ...
Kind of real life Sherlok Holms were looking for a murderer who was actually a result of sexual harrassment by her own father - they will probably never solve this locha case - so now we also know that its just a hype created about scotland yard and they are no better than our Indian detectives ! in the end she (daughter) identifies that its because of her father that she is so vindictive - this she remember when she sees her father playing with a 4 years old girl child with a ''dumb sex starved mother of the small girl'' standing by his side - he was going to get married again !
This time he would rape the young baby without the guilt of her being his own daughter !!! Daughter finds out the truth and pretends that she has been healed - basically fooled the doctors ....and ''Pop goes the weasel'' ...she proceeds to kill the father !!-
Thats the indication given in the last page. so basically the father had been a sex maniac - who did not leave his own daughter when it came to satisfying sexual urges !! - is this an International Best Seller !!..and we can also conclude that he went on with his escapades all his life without anyone coming to know of it !! - gosh ! are there men like this in real life as well ...probably the fathers of those daughters who sell their daughters and such girls are found dancing at bars , pubs, clubs - showing ....skin - all of it !!
Full of loose ends !and the fact the Sidney is an International Best seller - is rather alarming !! it shows that we , the people , are ready to accept such maniac ideas and are co-existing with people actually suffering from this syndrome !!
