Uninor is not the name that would pop up on one's head when they want a new connection. Rightly so, the coverage in rural areas are pathetic, while in urban areas they have decent connectivity
I've been using it since 2010 and mostly used it for local calls. I have really saved a lot of money with their plans. I was using Vodafone which gave me a monthly bill of around 600 to 800 Rs, and after I switched to uninor prepaid it got reduced to 250-300 Rs.
Internet, they have like 6 gb for 90, great plan one would imagine. Not really, with the offered speed, if you could use about 400 mb that would be great. So internet doesn't bell well. If they give 1gb with good speed that would have sufficed.
My call plan is 198 unlimited, not really unlimited but 42000 seconds is really something. For 500 recharge they always give extra talk-time i.e; 500=600. Good. How? you can have that balance reduced to do special recharges and plans, its like icing on the cake.
International call plans may get like 11ps/sec to gulf countries and 1ps/sec to US.
Now I have two connection mainly, Vodafone is charged once in a while and when I go to urban areas I would use vodafone and rest of time, its uninor.
They once deducted 30 Rs from my account for caller tunes which I never subscribed. I called customer care and they reversed that amount. It never happened again. But then, thats something all SP's do. So that is excused.
