Teesri Aankh is an apt case of old wine packaged in a new bottle. The makers have padded the film with ingredients that hold scant appeal for cinegoers of today. Moreover, there has been a barrage of such revenge sagas in the past, which is the motive behind films of this ilk not exhilarating the viewers anymore.

ACP Arjun Singh (Sunny Deol) is geared up to eliminate the pornographic racket in India operated from London by Sudama Pandey (Mukesh Rishi). He is engaged to Sapna (Neha Dhupia) who participates in a beauty contest but falls prey to this blue films racket. Pandeys henchmen Dinesh (Mukesh Tiwari) and Dinesh (Murli Sharma) want to rule the racket defeating their boss Sudama Pandey. For this, they ask Sapna to get the proof and if she succeeds they will get her free. In this process, she is killed. The only witness of this murder is Ammu (Amisha Patel) a mute girl.

Now the racket is after her and she struggles to survive and save herself from them. While searching his fiancie, ACP Arjun Singh reaches to Ammu and here comes all the action, Sunny Deol is famous for. He moors the belts to take revenge and finishes off the racket.

Besides the plot that is as old as the hills, the film suffers in several other departments, like:-

  • The screenplay is full of loopholes. The director and writer, while conveying the story, have left several questions unanswered.

-The music is another drawback. The songs are hardly popular and what's more, their placement is uneven.

-The film has action in overdose at places, may be to compensate for lack of a cohesive script.

Director Harry Baweja has dished out a fare that is outright predictable. What's all the more sad is that the writer has left so many blanks in the screenplay that it leaves the viewer stunned.

Music is another drawback. None of the songs hold appeal whatsoever. Cinematography is passable.

There's not a single redeemable performance in this enterprise. Sunny goes through his role mechanically. Neha is slightly better, but her role lacks substance. Amisha's role is pathetic, while Aarti is wasted in an inconsequential role. Aashish is loud.

On the whole, Teesri Aankh is a weak film in all aspect.
