I have been a member for over two years there. My only case is if it scrutinizes so much to take people in then why dont they make sure the folks they make Distinguished is also done with utmost care? I know a few such D members being not up to the mark.
Instead of giving funda about automobiles they are suggesting insurance schemes, air-conditioner buying.
People who post suggestions to routes and conditions based on hearsay or even after referring to Google maps. Only people who have recently done those routes should comment. This guy was given a D title. I would say he is the Narottam Puri of T-BHP. You understand what I mean!
D guy again - very less number of posts. You check his history of posts. He has hardly started threads, has hardly contributed. He heavily defends clicking photos while driving, morphing existing threads such as how to spot bad drivers into click pics of bad-drivers.
Suggest not to horn and this D guy suggests it needs to be done. Posts get removed unceremoniously of people who continue a healthy debate. Informing the admins dont help either.
Its monsoon and to capture the mood, post a few snaps and carefully at that in the changing gears section is removed as well.
The forum is good at most places but there are a few folks who cant distinguish rights/wrongs or identify classic guys. There are some fantastic members and then there are some useless guys sitting at D places or as admins/moderators. So rightly there are some good articles/views and members but those who run it are char aana less. I I feel tempted to go and log in there again. Its been many months since I did that, solely because you feel that you have not done any wrong and get cut half way by someone who cant figure out right and wrong. Which is sad. I am moving on to some other sites such as automotiveindia and motorheaders. Hopefully I get good folks out there. All the best to team-bhp. If it works for some good for them.
