Why not both?
Jun 02, 2001 06:19 AM 12757 Views

I've been a true coffee and tea addict for many many years now.  Ever since I'm little I've been in love with the taste both.  If you like them and wants to try out different versions of them, I'll list some recipe for you in this review.

If I'm an addict of anything, it must be for coffee.  I went cold turkey couple of times but always went back to it.  I don't drink bad coffee or bad tea.  What I mean by bad coffee is the coffee inside of McDonalds or Dannys.  I've been known to be picky with coffee.  I think I'm the same way with mix drinks.  Rather have the best or non at all.

If I have to recommend any coffee, I would have to recommend organic coffee.  They are natually low in caffine and taste a lot better.  They cost more but is worth it.  As for tea, most of the tea taste good.  But my favorites are various flower tea or frutie teas.

Here's are some recipe to try out.

Go to the local grocery store and buy liquid sweetner.  It should be right next to the sugar in the store.  When you add that to any regular iced tea, it brings out a great flavor in the tea.  If you want a little more, put 1 or 2 mint leaves in it.  This would work great with Lipton or any unflavor tea.

If you love sweets, try a Arnold Palmer.  Half lemonade and half iced tea.  It's great in the summer time.  While in the store, you can pick up liquid flavor(kind of like the flavors they add in coffee).  Get a peach or raspberry favor and add a shot or two into your Arnold Palmer and you can have a sunset iced tea.  Peach or Respberry both works great.  If you like those, try Kewi flavor in just iced tea.  It's just right amount of sweetness and great flavor.

As for coffee lovers, try coffee with honey instead of sugar, get the unflavor honey.  It's a great combination with coffee.

If you are familiar with the coffee shop, Starbucks, they makes some of the great iced drinks.  It's very simple to do if you have a blender.  Blend ice with strong coffee(strong enough that it doesn't taste too bad diluted with all the ice), milk or half and half, and some chocalate syrup.  You could also add whip cream on top and it makes a great iced drink for the summer.  I love mocha java, which is just half hot coffee with half hot cocoa.  Caramel also taste great in coffee, but only in hot coffee instead of iced ones.

In Hong Kong, they have a drink that mix half coffee with half tea.  It sounds funny but it's a great drink.  If you want to do that you have to use green tea with any type of coffee.  I forgot if you add cream in it, but you can always try it out yourself.

Oh, if you like blender drinks like smoothies.  Try to blend ice coffee with mint chocalate ice cream.  Add a lot of ice so it have a smoothie type of texture.  If you don't like that, just add vanilla ice cream and blend it well.

I've also try blending strawberry in tea and ice before.  It's great smoothie if you try it.  Make the tea twice as strong because it would lose some of it's flavor when it's mix with ice.  Raspberry works well and so is mango.

Try them out if you have the time.  Let me know if you like them.

* I just added this because I think you might want to know.  Decaf is a big no-no.  When you drink decaf coffee, it's been process with chemical to'wash' out the caffine in the coffee.  In which the proper way to decaffinate the coffee beans is to rinse in water for 24 hours period to get rid of the caffine.  Companies don't do that because it cost too much.  Decaf coffee can cost cancer in one of the health report I've read about 5 years ago.  If you want coffee was minimal caffine, drink organic coffee.  Which is natually low in caffine.
