I don’t know about you guys but my experience with Taxi for Sure has been good and bad. The advantage is that you get to pay a relatively reasonable amount(for sure!). However, the kicker is when you expect the cab to arrive or contact you when you need it, it just does not arrive.
I remember a time(a couple of months ago) when I ordered a taxi to reach me at 7 am in a convenient location. I was assured that this would arrive in time, but an elderly relative and I were stranded. On calling the company, we were told that to please adjust this time. The alternative plan from their end was that they would send a car in an hour.
Seriously, what did they expect us to do until they arrive, play a game or something? What I cannot fathom is how they do not keep abreast of the taxis and customers. They probably need to have suitable software and professionals on board to ensure that irate customers are not inconvenienced. In this regard, since there was someone elderly(which was mentioned to them in advance), it was extremely annoying.
What is also extremely exasperating is when the app doesn’t work or when you are assured that the driver will reach the location in time, but does not, and you have to make a call wait in the queue for someone to answer, unsure of a pickup. I can say, from experience, having used the service a good many times, that I was relatively happy 6 out of 10 times. It is the 4 out of 10 that rattles… It would be ideal if the company will up the ante and ensure that their advertising strategy actually pans out or face negativity down the line.
My rating is yes and no.
Yes for when I really need a cab, I find them a lot more convenient.
No for when I am with someone elderly(I will definitely avoid this) and/or when I need a cab late in the evening.
The question posed below asks for a Yes or No as to whether I like the service. I am a maybe, so I will stick with the No because the glitches have to be handled right away.
