Could have been better... Review on Taxi No 9211

A fair plot and to an extent a fair casting - Taxi No. 9211 is an average movie with average performances. Wait a minute. Let me take that back. I didn't mean to say average performance where Nana Patekar is concerned. His case is of monotonous acting. Nana I am fed up of seeing you doing the same kind of role over and over again. There was a time you were natural. Alas all good things must come to an end. There is just no more enthusiasm in watching you lose ur cool.

As far as these new breed of 'actors' and 'actresses' go, very few (if any) can really act. Sameera Reddy and John Abraham could have done a good job with a better director. They are beginners and need that push from the right person. Veterans like Nana should be able to deliver well with any director whatsoever. Anyways, the reason I didn't like the movie is not because of abysmal performances, but because of bad direction and haphazard work. Nothing seemed through and complete. Smita Jaykar being wasted in a five minute (negative) role was too much to bear. And the director couldn't resist falling prey to the temptation of using a special appearance in the end like in multiple movies we have seen in the past. There were a few good scenes but overall the film is strictly OK.
