I have been a user of Tata Indicom Landline connection for over 3 years. Quality of service initially provided was very good but has deteriorated over period of time. Upon that staying on the ground floor has its own evils. During monsoons and heavy showers in Mumbai the services often disrupts causing inconvenience and hardships. Therefore when I was approached by the sales team of Tata Teleservices, Thane for a wireless connection in lieu of landline connection held by me, my reaction was spontaneous. Promises of an instrument of my choice, a number of my choice and the existing facility of STD/ISD connection on my phone on the new Tata Wireless prompted me to fill in the form for a new connection. Subsequently, Ms.Sharmila, a sales staff from M/s TTML, Thane along with Ms. Ria promised me of prompt services, a number of my choice and a descent handset along with existing facilities of STD/ISD connection without security deposit. This they said would be given to me since I was their valued customer with a credit limit of above Rs.3000/- on my landline connection which I was supposed to surrender upon resumption of wireless facility. But to my dismay and frustration, not only did the authorities not provided me with the desired handset, they cheated me by not giving a number of my choice and also refused to provide me with an ISD connection, now demanding an amount of Rs.1500/- as security deposit. My appeals to higher authorities have not been given its due attention as the whole process is rigged by sales staff who are just interested in selling their wireless handsets under false promises. Written complaints initiate a ball game of blame pushing tactics. The idea of dealing with the company representatives (Mr Amol and his team) does not shield you from false promises and cheating games played upon customers by the sales team of M/s TTML. Though the M/s TTML head office is at Worli, a customer is asked to deal with their representative office in Thane for complaints. Does that mean that a family looking for a telephone connection has to make payments as well run from pillar to post for a descent after sales service? I request all readers to beware of promises made by Tata Telecom Sales Staff and their fraudulent ways of selling their services. Does the Management of Tata Telecom know what’s going on? Arise before its too late.....a customer has a lot of choice in the emerging global market. Is customer still regarded as the king? By no means the way the services are given......
