Tata Sky is Truly Amazing!. Review on Tata Sky vs Dish TV - Which is Better

Well, I have been using Tata Sky for more than 5 years and it had been an amazing experience for me.

Before that I was using analog cable tv, so upgrading to just TS SD STB was amazing for a CRT TV I had that time, after using that I took another multi-room connection and both the connections had been amazing. Once I had problem related to one STB and the after sale service had been mind-blowing. Later on I upgraded the tvs, bought two LCD TVs, one is of 22" and another is of 32", upgraded the STBs to HD STB and as usual, Tata Sky made my tv’s and home theater systems truly rocking.

I have not used HD DVR so I can't comment on that. But TS rocks in HD and even in SD, the interface used in TS is quite user friendly. Their customer care is quite responsive and the service is done very fast. Only one thing may be little disappointing, that it is little bit on the expensive side, but with its service and quality that thing can be thought to be fine.

Rain outage occurs in most of the DTH, so that is normal. My LNB in the dish was more than 4 years old, so I have changed that which resulted in very less rain outage. In the monsoon season now, I am not facing rain outage, even though its raining moderately with dense cloud above.

Tata Sky had space problem in the transponders, so they could not add more channels but that problem will get solved very soon as Tata Sky has started migrating to MPEG4 technology from MPEG2 which will result in almost double number of channels.

Its HD quality is superb and so is the customer care quality and services. Almost everything can be done from the online (website), tata sky recharge, add/drop package, contact the helpline, chat with the executive online, see the channel package details, order showcase movies, active services etc.
