I stay In Mumbai. I go to my Goa house every 3 months, but only for a week. I approached Dish TV guys in Calangute, Goa in the month of May'08 & they promised to give me a connection in 3/4 days. But despite calling them up several times a day for next 3 days, no one turned up. The excuses they gave would fill up a register. I got fed up and canceled their connection thru their agent who was fortunately known to me.
It is three months since then and now they send me SMSses every day, threatening to penalize me if I do not renew their subscription.
Dish TV has not yet given me connection in the first place and still they are demanding renewal of subscription!
Subsequently I came to know that a lot of people are disgusted with Dish TV & would like to exit from their connection. Prospective customers, stay away from them.
Now with Reliance coming out with their BIG TV, I guess there will be healthy competition between them, Tata Sky & Dish TV.
