I bought DishTV, only to watch football. That is the only thing I watch on TV, especially Spanish football - La Liga. Till the end of 2011 season, all was fine, as it was shown on Ten Action. And then Star Sports/ESPN bought the right for 2012/13 season and the problems started.
Being fans of English league - kick and rush football as its known infamously, they really didn't care for the quality of La Liga and a lot of matches were missed. Sometimes they would even start showing the matches, only after long time after the start. If they were too busy with their timings, why did they have to buy the rights?
Sometime in middle of March 2013, Star Sports 2 was announced. Most La Liga matches has been rescheduled to this channel. The horrible thing is, this channel was not available on most providers. When they started, it was available only with Airtel TV.
Ever since I have been writing to both Star Sports and Dish TV. They only have the typical bla bla to say - their marketing team is working on it. It is running into the 5th month, and the new Football season will kick start in the next couple of weeks. The marketing teams of both these stupid corporate's, STAR SPORTS 2 & DISHTV, haven't been able to sort out anything!
This HORRIBLE CHANNEL - STAR SPORTS 2, is still not available with DishTV. My friends who have other service providers, they too don't have it. I am disgusted by the attitude of both STAR SPORTS and Dish TV.
Friends, if you are having some cable Tv, please continue with it. For some extra quality of reception, please do not get into the clutches of the CHEATERS, ie the satellite TV companies.
