My tata sky remote control stopped working. This has happened 2 times within a year. On the 2nd of October I lodged a complaint and was tole that the engineer will come on the 3rd. I requested them to send him iin the morning by 10 as I have to leave for work.
However the engineer did not turn up on rhe 3rd. I again called ion the evening and was told that he will be coming on the 4th as I was not home on the 3rd at 4pm. When I asked them that why did he not call me I was told that my phone was switched off. This is not possible as my phone is never switched off. On the 4th I called them up again 3 to 4 times.
First the engineer was supposed to come around 1:30 om, then by 3:30 pm and finally by 5:30 pm. When he did not turn up I called at 6pm and was given personal assurances that the engineer will definitely come by the end of day. I wonder how can these call center employees give personal assurances when they cant even give the name or contact number of the engineer who will be visiting!. When I called them back on the 5th I was shocked to be told by them that the Engineer was assigned to come on the 5th and not the 4th!
The only thing that can differentiate one service provider from the other is the quality of service as all the other things are more or less same. And as far as customer support is concerned, Tata SKy sucks!
