I have been using Airtel Digital TV since last 3 + years, their service have been going down over a period of time, I had to stick to Airtel only beacuse I have done some wiring which is now neatley covered under the floaring and wall, so cant get a new connection from Tata.
A few year back Airtel had Wordspace, then they took it off, but increased cost. There were some featured like you could watch headline on NDTV, Rodies, etc which is no more available. A few days back they changed their interface and menu, which is even bad. Customer Service, they have already reduced or taken off... probably predicting customers will soon run away from Airtel Digital. I wanted to recharge my subcription and was tring to reach the customer service since last 3 days, only hear some IVR after multiple selections etc. giving me only 2 options either to subscribe Set Max to watch IPL or return to main menu.
Then I raised an online request/intrest in upgrating to HD, instantly I got a call back from Airtel, but the guy was shamless to say he can only talk to me if I needed to upgrade.
So I told him I could only upgrade, if I could seak to some Custoler Service how could help with packages and help renew my susbcription, finally a lady helped me with recharge and upgrade and I paid Rs. 6307 though a Telephone IVR guided CC payment. That was yesterday (22nd April 2012 3.15 PM) I keep getting message on my TV that balance is low and when I called them again they say they cant see may payment :-)
So even after reading this if you want to buy Airtel Digital TV.... join the party :-)
