Safari, My Dream come true. Review on Tata Safari

Dear Fellow readers and Riders,

I was disheartened and confused reading all sort of negative reviews on many websites, claiming safari to be a shitpot and what not.

I almost decided not to buy Safari, my dream car, after reading so many negative reviews, but then I took the test drive and decided to follow my heart.

I bought safari EX Pearl silver on 19th aug 2009, its 18 months now, crossed 45000 kms. Till date I have had just one flat tyre thats it. There was a problem with brakes, which when I told to Dhingra motors, changed the complete break assembly for free of cost. Just recently I had problem with wiring in the car, which again was replaced by the company without a cost. I recommend 2+2 yrs extended warranty.

Safari till date has not given me any problems. I zip my vehicle, it pushes past 120kmph in seconds, I have topped a speed of 165 kmph. Gives me an awesome fuel efficiency of 13kmpl. I drive 100kms on average daily and feel very comfortable. However Safari may not be a very comfortable ride on bumpy roads for REAR passangers, on normal roads its superb, Please remember its a 5 seater suv and not an mpv, so dont compare it with Innova. Buy Safari if you want to feel the powerful engine. You wont mind taking it off road even at high speeds, because of its beautiful road grip.

Just to remind you that safari comes to you at a very affordable price of 8lacs on road with all the basic luxury and features. Remember to compare an Apple with an Apple.

Although I dont have a 4wd, but then I didnt feel the need of it. I have taken it off road many a times and it hasnt embarrased me. I am planning to do Delhi-Leh This summer, many of my fellow safari freinds have already done it.AC is satisfactory in extreme summers. Now Pros and ConsLovely Stearing, can be adjusted well, seats come with hight adjustment, arm rest is great and helps in changing gears with less effort. Awesome pickup, with a 2.2 ltr engine and 140bhp I have given most of the indian cars a run for there money. The drive is really safe even at high speeds. Central locking is great, shuts done engine and protects theft. Shockers and suspensions really make the ride very very comfortable even off roads.ConsThe cutting Radius is way to big, but once you get the idea, u can maneuver it well. The plastic quality of some parts inside the car are not that great(levers, jack console, key console). I difinitely recommend ABS for a car of this size and speed capabilities. So dont doubt my intelligence of rating cars. I am a 30 yr old and must have drive more than 5 lakh kms apx.

My safari has now clocked 1 Lakh kms, still going strong, absolutely no issues with the car till date.

Its zipping as if its new.
