Back to write the review after completing almost 3 years with Safari LX VVT 2.2 and completed 30000 Kms.
During this period, I had visited Service station for General Service, as well Car Wash and Wheel Alingment before leaving for Long drives. However I feel the maintenance is little costly compared to other cars. Like the engine oil used for he car is very costly, almost have to spend 10K for oil changes (which includes different Oils)

This had a very good presence and road clearance, which avoids scratches in high traffic zones as the people donot drive close to this beast.
Twice, went for long drives for 900Kms(To and fro), where hit a speed to 145KMPH. The vehicle has a very good control upto 120KMPH, but at 140KMPH the vehicles feels to be light. At a Speed of 100KMPH this is the best vehicle I have seen to control.
Pick Up, Breaking and Control is very good.
The Service in Hyderabad(Malik Motors) is very good. Good response from the team till now. As an example there was a Back Door Lock adjustment problem where I called the service agent at 10.30PM by 11.30PM they came to my place and fixed the problem.
Mileage of 10 to 10.5 in City conditions and 11 - 12 on high ways at 120 to 140KMPH and 12 to 13.5 at a speed of 100KMPH.
Silent and comfortable cabin, every option is handy in cockpit.
First row and second row seats are the place where comfort resides. 3rd row is little bumpy and the seats are not comfortable for adults. I think Tata has to think once again to design the last 2 seats in the 3rd row to make more comfortable.
I feel this beast is very easy to drive rather than sedans and small cars for its road clearance from the driver seat.

The interiors are of low quality.
Cracks on AC Blower adjustment knob need to get it replaced in 2nd service.
Dash Board makes crackling sound on rough roads. But can be fixed in service.
Need to check the wheel balance for every 6 to 8 months(Which is the same for all SUVs).
Need to apply greece for the doors or else makes a rattling sound on regular basis atleast once in 6 to 8 months.
I feel AC is not powerful in LX. (My car is Black color). After 5 to 10 minutes the cabin gets cooled after parking in sun. (only in summer). But after 10 minutes the AC is good.
Runs out of parking space in shopping malls and movie theaters for this huge monster. :). The turning radius is very high. (sure more than 6 Meters what Tata claims)
Dealers are not upto mark, luckily got a good dealer in Hyderabad(Malik Motors) where the response is good.
The service cost is high compared to the other SUVs like Scorpio.

Base model does not come with any accessories. I got my Safari entirly loaded now.
Sony Xplod 4 Front Speakers each at one door, 2 Back Speakers(in 3rd row seating), Sub Woofer, Amplifier & DVD Player.

Reverse Parking Camera
Art Leather Seating
Full Matting & Floor Mats
Remote Locking & Relay in Locking(As soon as you lock using remote control all the windows get closed if those are open one after other)
Silencer Cap
Front Crash Guard with fully covered from Head lights to fog lamps.
3M Window film as per RTA rule (but I donot suggest if you are at hot locations), and some interior Goodies Which cost me totally 60K in a Accessories shop, where as for the same accessories Tata showroom is going to charge you around 1Lack.
My suggesssion are:

Till 1st Serive aviod Alloy Wheel and Body Colored Bumper Painting. Going for alloey wheels may spoil your wheel alignment.
While buying Tata Safari, observe all the electricals are working fine or not. Have a small test ride with your windows open you should not hear any noice from cabin except engine sound(like ticklling or rattlling sounds)
Make sure the Tool Box doors at last row is fitted properly.
For the Front Glass , get a film of 70% visibility to avoid more radiation and heating problem mainly in summer and if your Safari is Black Color get 30% Visibility Film for Windows.
Use only synthetic technology Oil for better and smooth drive.

Service Problem:

I have seen a lot of reviews on bad service from Tata, I did not belive it untill I change the Service provider. I used to give to Malik Motors in Hyderabad. This Service is the best. Once, I had changed to Tejeswani motors in Hyderabad as it is close to my office. They provide a Pathetic service. After the Service my Car started giving new sounds. I took the car back to them for 2 more time but still the problem cannot be fixed by tham. So, now I had decided to get it done from the Malik motors by paying some amount if required. If you are in Hyderabad, it donot matter where you buy the car but get it serviced from Malik as they are the best service provider what I see in Hyderabad.

I see lot of bad reviews on Tata safari, I cannot comment on them. However my Safari is doing great from more than 3 years. Never stopped on roads, Cabin is Very Silent no noises, Till date not a single complaint. Till now the mileage is 10 to 10.5 in City per Liter and in few days going for a Long drive will add the current long drive mileage after that.
