More Choice Than You Need. Review on Tata Press Yellow Pages

Few years back I wanted an industrial elevator with flameproof fittings for my factory. We asked one famous vendor and were surprised to see the cost and delivery period. Frankly, cost was double than my budget. Reluctantly, I started going through the Tata Press Yellow Pages to find some suitable supplier. I could find a supplier from Panjim. Belief me, cost of the elevator was within the limit and working like any reputed one.

Today, most of the times my boys or me do not forget to go through Tata Press Yellow Pages to find a better supplier or service providers.

Why known as Yellow Pages –

Yellow Pages is a section/part of a telephone directory that lists businesses, services, products in alphabetical order according to the field or headings. These section/part are known as Yellow Pages because information typically printed on yellow papers or pages. Not sure, but telephone directory of London is first to have Yellow Pages.

About Tata Press Yellow Pages (TPYP) –

TPYP is not a telephone directory but it is a collection of information about Commercial and Emergency Services. TPYP is the biggest and most popular Yellow Pages in India. TPYP published by Tata Infomedia Limited (TIL - previously known as Tata Donnelley Limited). TIL is one of India's leading information products companies.

Tata Press Yellow Pages published from several locations in India having commercial importance. These locations are Ahmedabad, Bangalore, Calcutta, Chennai, Coimbatore, Delhi, Hyderabad, Indore, Ludhiana, Mumbai, Pune, Vadodara.

TPYP is free of Cost for Local Residents. Outsiders have to pay for it. Cost varies from Rs. 250 to Rs. 500. Mumbai edition is the costliest one.

Nowadays it is available in CD. I have asked for one however yet to experience the ease to navigate to find a service.
