Sity Cable in Delhi was a bad experience due to frequent disruptions and poor customer care. Their local franchisee Galaxy cable was so bad that they would not even pick up the phone and would take 1-2 days to restore connection that was disrupted several times in a month. Several channels used to go off-air or had poor picture quality. Speaking and writing emails to Sity Cable got response that they are looking into the matter and would restore cable tv in 48-72 hours! They refused to accept cheque / online payments and their home collection service was erratic and unreliable. Every time it rained the cable tv transmission would get distorted and many channels would go off.
When I decided to switch over to DTH I found there were many options - Airtel, Dish TV, Videocon and TATA Sky. Airtel and TATA Sky had comparable technical features that were better than the other two. Users of Dish TV and TATA Sky seemed the happiest. Dealers having multiple options were unanimous in recommending TATA Sky for best customer care.
I ordered online and got a callback promptly. TATA Sky caller was polite, helpful and patiently guided me through the payment process. Local area service provider called within a few minutes and promised to install within 4 hours. When I mentioned that I needed to go out after 3 hours and requested if it could be done earlier he did so within an hour! That is amazing service.
TATA Sky staff was well trained, professional and efficient and completed the process within 30 minutes of their arrival.
Service has been exceptional since last two months with good sound and picture quality. There is no distortion, disturbance or sound impairment. HD Channels and other channels have a variety of good programs that can be automatically recorded by prior setting so I do not miss my favorite programs.
TATA Sky is the best DTH service in Delhi.
