Worst service over the years is what I have experienced with Tata Sky. First, in the name of multi dwelling unit, they install one dish and take literally hundreds of connections from the same dish. The signal strength and quality in Tata Sky signal test shows zero almost all the time. Signal is so weak even when weather is bright and sunny as in Chennai summer. Then it is about customer service.
The moment you call their customer service number, you will know how helpful they are. You will keep pressing number after number and will hear all sorts of advertisements in all languages before you can speak to someone. Speaking to someone is at least about 30 minutes wait. Then they will ask you if it is raining in your place!
Tried online chat for support and the guy who turned up after waiting for 15 minutes says it is better I call the toll free number and speak to their representative!
Finally the guy who turns up wearing Tata Sky shirt is the most arrogant I have ever seen. They all act as if Tata is giving this service for free and we are complaining. All these guys seems to be from local electrical shop with no knowledge or patience to listen to what we are saying. And they charge for EACH visit - at least Rs.200.
They do not solve the problem but change something or other each time and charge you separately for that. Cheats!
Finally on packages, whatever was better and nominal cost last year, the packages have been removed and we are forced to pay much more for the same package.
I am now experiencing this sort of service from ALL TATA products - TATA Photon, TATA Sky, etc. With this kind of frustration, the other day, they gave me a TATA salt in grocery store, I returned TATA salt and asked for Ashirwad salt!
Shame shame TATA.
