Since the time I lodged a complaint with Tata Sky Customer Care, m life has become miserable. On October 27, 2010 my Tata Sky+ box froze. It did not respond to any buttons and there was no audio or video.


So I lodged a complaint with Tata Sky Customer Care on October 27, 2010 explaining all the details. The complaint was getting warmed up by the Tata Sky executives for 7 days. After I did not hear anything from them for 7 days, I called up again. The executive was not able to locate m ticket number on her computer screen, and said the "ticket number is not important". So she logged another complaint, but told me "I must note down the ticket number as it is important for future correspondence."(How about that?) Are we dealing with jerks here or do they think the customer on the other end is a monkey dancing with a banana?


Anyways, I waited again for 4 days. Nothing happened. No one called. No one visited. Now it has been almost 2 weeks since my connection is dead, but my monthly fee was religiously deducted by Tata Sky for using their service. I asked myself again.Is Tata Sky being run by jerks? Or do they think their customers are monkeys?


I escalated the complaint to the "team leader" of the Tata Sky call center. She logged a third complaint and handed me a third ticket number.


By this time, I lost all hope and started thinking whether I made a mistake by subscribing to Tata Sky?


It has been more than 6 weeks today and at 9:30AM today morning I receive a call from Tata Sky executive asking me "Sir what seems to be the problem?"


I asked him to take is metal scraps from my home and go away for good. I do not want to add misery to me life. I am just a common man trying to ensure my family gets the best they deserve. I do not want jerks fg up my life by adding to my stress.


I have decided to get a connection from my local cable operator. He is a nice man, charges way less than Tata Sky, his service is prompt and every once in a while, he checks with his customers to see if they are happy with the service.


And the shocker I just received 2 days back: My neighbour residing 2 floors below me has chosen a cable connection a week back, because his Tata Sky has box been defunct since 2 months and even after logging complaints multiple times, no one turned up to check the problem. HAHAHAHAHA! What a relief. I am not alone. That is some solace.


And I have also decided to file a suit against Tata Sky for causing trauma / stress and charging me for a non-working service.


Aamir Khan is a popular actor and a respected figure internationally with his movies like Lagaan and Taare Zameen Par. I think he should now take stock of the customer reviews and then re-consider whether he should endorse products which are insensitive to customers and their own business losses.


Personally, I think Aamir Khan must stop endorsing Tata Sky and chanting the slogan "Isko lagaa daala toa life jingalala, because none of this is true.
