Made the mistake of buying a Tata Sky subscription, and I truly regret it now.
1) They have the worst ever website designed - you have to try at least 5 times before you can make a transaction on the site.
2) Their call center is the absolute pits. I have been calling them for the last 4 days, to no avail. I have tried every single number they provide, and no one ever picks up, or I keep getting a busy signal. And this is always the case.
3) Their call center agents are completely lousy. Don't understand a damn thing, and can take no decisions whatsoever.
4) Under hand tactics in pricing packages - They take away channels arbitrarily, change channel packages at the pretext of giving consumers better deals. Doesn't work out like that at all. Recently, they have moved Sports Channels like ESPN and Star Sports to a special Sports Platinum package reducing the rates of the South Jumbo package, but adding the Sports Platinum package brings the cost back to where it was. What they don't tell you is they have also removed BBC World, but that's not part of the Sports Platinum package. As also a few other channels. Devious, and they similar stuff periodically.
5) Totally useless movies in the Showcase channel, at outrageous rates of 50-75 bucks a movie. Only a moron will pay so much for such crap movies.
Had taken up Tata Sky only because I wasn't getting all the channels I wanted on cable, but given the struggles I have to face with Tata Sky every 10 days or so, it has simply not been worth it.
Would urge you to stick to Cable or move to Dish TV if they are any better.
