Tata Sky has a very poor customer service, which is exorbitantly priced. Recently, my adapter stopped working. They told that it does cost Rs 120 plus a charge of Rs 170 will be imposed for service. I don't understand what kind of service is required to change an adapter. Just think that you have to pay Rs 170 for a replacement of Rs 120. And customer supports don't even know the local dealer address\number.
Avoid TataSky at all cost. They are just trying to suck money from the customers by any means.
On the picture and sound quality front, through it is good, even a drizzle causes it to stop receiving signal. HD is more prone to fail in bad weather.
I am planning to switch over to any other DTH or a local cable.
My advise is to clearly AVOID their service.
