I have subscribed to TATA sky HD for my second TV 6 months back. First, these people were hell bent on selling only HD+ set top box and despite 3-4 requests, all the time they came up with HD+ set top box. Then finally I got a plane HD. During first conversation in their customer care, I was informed than any package if added can not be removed within 3 months. simultaneously, I was told that the sceme has changed and the package for which I was paying odd 350 bucks will not cost 150/- I immediately agreed and they implemented the 'reduced' charging package. on that vary day I realized, they have reduced my subscribed channels substantially. when I contacted them, I was told u have requested to subscribe to new system wherein individual channel will be charged. when I went into detail, I realized its just another name for overcharging the customers. I raised my voice that I have not been informed about this change and please take action against your erring staff. You cannot revert back to previous system- was the reply. After a week long process, I could get back my old system which costed me at least 200 bucks in terms of telephone calls.
Last week I got an sms that my request for new package has been implemented and I shall be charged extra for the same. I was taken aback as I had not requested any such addl package. I spoke to their customer care rep. they told me charges for a package has been revised as sports channel have been added to HD package. I said I have not subscribed to a single sports channel, why should I be forced to pay for sports channel? three reps in their discussion told me they will do something and ur addl charges will be removed in 24 hrs. Today I spoke to their 4th rep as it's been 5 days and no remedy has been done. Today's rep straight forward refused to reduce those addl charges. If they were not going to reduce, why was I promised on previous three occasions?
There are merely 7-8 HD channels whereas most of other satellite TVs are proving much more. the cost is very high and customer care is be fooling. signals go easily blank in slightest rain.
