1 Month Experience With Tata Sky. Review on Tata Play

Hi Guys,

Its been exactly one month back I bought Tata Sky (25th August -2006). When I bought it the only concern I had in my mind was, when will I get the Zee Channels that for some good channels like HBO, Cartoon Network, Pogo..

Which ultimately I got it exactly after 1 month. Yes, indeed Tata Sky started to show the Zee Channels from late evening today. So from now I got all the channels what I wanted.

Now let me share the experince I had with tata sky. Starting from Day 1 till today I dont not have any compalints about the picture quality, sound quality, recharging my account (bill payment), customer service. All these qualities I liked it and its been served good as it is necessary for a customer. In this one month almost 5 times rains and thunder staroms hit in chennai. At this point of time only 3 times the signal strength and signal quality decreased from the normal level. This is very common in DTH. The signal strengh and signal quality dropped but still I was getting the same picture quality and sound quality but I lost the picture and sound for 3 times as the signal quality was dropped to zero but the signal strength was fluctuating between 65 - 70 during the rain hit. All these 3 times when I was not getting the picture and the sound it did not last for more than 2 mins as the service resumed with in 2 mins and more importantly the signal quality too increased constantly from zero to 10 to 20....... I feel like when ever the signal quality comes to zero due to rain and thundershowers with in 2 mins the signal quality is been increased automatically which is a good thing. What I would like to empahsis to you all that when rain or thundershowers comes incase your singal quality is dropped to zero plz be patient for 2 mins as the service would resume automatically so dont try do anything silly for manual tuning to get the channels. I tell you that all the 3 times when I lost the service for 2 mins there heavy rains with great cloud covers but I lost the service only for 5 to 6 mins for a month with 5 times heavy rains which is very minimal when you compare to other DTH providers. When I learnt the reviews of Dish TV I felt that during the rain the picture get scrambled, u dont get proper picture quality etc., but here in tata sky u get the same picture quality and sound quality it does not get scrambled or frezzed during the rain and thudner showers till the time your signal quality is dropped to zero. When the signal quality is dropped to zero u get only blue blank screen in your television. But you get back the picture and sound in2 mins time.

I fell very happy that I opted for a very good service provider of DTH that is Tata Sky.
