It was Saturday morning, I called Tata sky customer service to check when HD boxes will be available in Pune. I got same answer that I am hearing for last one month. It will be available soon.
Since My remote for Tata SkySD was not working, I went to nearby Tata Sky dealer on Sus Road. To My surprise I have seen Tata sky HD boxes on display. When enquired, dealer told me that HD boxes are available since 16th June.
I immediately purchased the HD box for Rs 2600. Dealer called the tata sky and scheduled the installation. He said, Tata sky technician will come by 6:00PM.
To my surprise, technician called me in 15 minutes and he was at my home in 30 mins sharp. He installed the digicomp in 10 mins. He told me that HD channels will start after 24 HRs. He payed me back Rs 200 for my old digicomp. Next day when HD channels still did not start, I called customer service. They told, it will take another 24 Hrs. I insisted that I want the channels Now otherwise I want to talk to supervisor. He kept me on hold for 2 mins and said your HD package is added, pls check you channels. My HD channels were already started.
HD quality is so Good! I can just Say WOW. Sound is 5.1dolby.
Quality of SD channels is better than the previous ones. The user interface of new Digicomp is better than previous one.
Overall, I am really happy that I chose Tata Sky HD. I will recommend all people who are waiting for HD boxes, to check with the nearby dealer rather than relying on Tata Sky Customer Service or their website.
