Tata Sky not HD ready still showing ads on TV ,Web. Review on Tata Play

Well when I saw that Tata Sky is showing ads on Television, its Site that now it has gone HD and you can can watch 2010 FIFA World Cup in HD, I thought wait for HDTV broadcast is over.Service was launched on 14 June 2010 and website claimed that boxes are available in Delhi, Mumbai & Chennai.It caimed that shortly it will be available all over India.Now it is 3 July, 20 days, their short period is not over yet.

Now the worse happened.I ordered a Tata Sky HD box on 1 July 2010afternoon at 2:30 P.M. They took the whole

payment in advance and I gave them a address in Delhi for delivery of box as I do not live in Delhi and boxes are available in Delhi according totheir website.I explained them to deliver the box latest by02 July 2010 evening as person they will be delivering the box is leaving Delhi on 03 July 2010 and they agreed to deliver it on time.But to my shock no one turned up for delivery till 02 July 2010 evening .Then I called customer care then they started making excuses, so I had to cancel the orderas there was no one to take delivery on 3 July 2010.

After this whole incident it is evident Tata Sky doesn't have HD boxes even in Delhi capital of India after 20 days of claimed launched forget about smaller towns.

They are not HD ready, yet they are showing ads on TV and Website.

This is their cheap tactics to prevent potential new customers to going to Airtel HD and Dish HD, by taking advance payment and delaying delivery because they do not have HD boxes.

Airtel HD was launched after Tata Sky HD and their boxes are available every where even in smaller towns.

Now Tata Sky signals gets disrupted even in light rain and drizzle.

I have six months subscription left with Tata Sky otherwise I would have gone with AirtelHD which is available next door and would have enjoyed FIFA World Cup 2010 in HD.

Tata Sky spoilt the World Cup.

Once my subscription gets over in February 2011 I will reconsider whether to continue with Tata Sky or not.

Well after all this drama Finally I managed to Get Tata Sky HD on 20/09/2010.And HD channels are awesome.You will not want to watch regular tv after HD.Well I ordered HD box via Tata Sky helpline on phone around ten days back and made payment via credit card and gave them address of my relative in Delhi for delivery.In 5 days time Tata Sky delivered HD box to my relative's house and one person from my place had gone to Delhi for some work and brought the box on returning from Delhi.Upon receiving box I called Tata Sky and service engineer visited my house next day and activated the box . I am subscriber of annual mega pack so HD channels were already active.Enjoying HD on my Samsung LCD TV.
