Will you sit in a car in which you saved yourself and family members twice from an accident?


Will you sit in a car in which you get multiple problems within a few days? Imagine a new car, having steering noise and steering jam, ABS warning message on the speedometer, engine noise, loose tailgate problems within a few days. Sometimes driver door and sometimes rear left side seat door doesn't open. Above all that, post-sales service is really pathetic.


I had a lot of people saying not to buy Tata car but I thought Tata Motors had improved with their cars however I was wrong. I made the biggest mistake of my life to buy a Tata car. Feeling really sad that I made a wrong choice.


Will you seat on a plane which can crash any day? Tata Nexon is India's most unreliable and unsafest car because it'll lead to accident anytime. So I request each and every one of you, please don't buy Tata Cars.

I purchased Tata Nexon XM petrol variant on 3rd Dec'2018 from Pahwa Autoworld(MCTC Exim Pvt. Ltd.) - Safdarjung Enclave, New Delhi. From day one, driver seat adjuster moves at its own while moving on-road. I told this to the dealer while taking delivery but it was told that it's ok so no need to worry.


Then after few days, issues started showing up: steering noise, engine noise in Sports mode, driver seat door noise. I called the dealer to complain/discuss these things but got shocking news that dealer is not serving Tata dealership and service center anymore.


As my car was a few days old with only 400-500 km driven and associated dealer/service center is closed so I thought to show this car to different Tata Service center after few days but suddenly one day, Steering jammed when I was parking my car in the parking area and left side fender hit to parking gate. I was very disturbed and visited Concorde Motors, Mohan Cooperative, service center on 16 January'2019. Describe all problems and ready to pay for fender paint charges as well. The service advisor told me to pick a car by 4 pm the next day. I called the next day around 2 pm to confirm pickup timings. He said he'll call within 5 mins. I called again when didn't receive his call even after 60-65 mins, he said, the car will be ready within an hour. I reached after 90 mins and shocked to see that fender is still not attached to the car, washing was pending, the anti-rust coating was pending. I waited that day for 2 hours and 15 mins and when I was leaving that same service manager told me that you need to bring this car once again tomorrow for rubbing and polishing as labor is not available after 6 pm. I mean, what it's? I asked why not you tell me that time when I called you, he said, body shop doesn't come under service. I was feeling like dealing with an agency where everybody is having full faith that customer has purchased the car now it's his responsibility to get service and everything. Finally, we agreed on do a rubbing, polishing from Multitech Motors, Faridabad service center. Next day, when I visited there, we all noticed that the paint color was not matching with car paint. Multitech executives tried but they couldn't do anything. Finally, Amit asked me to visit their service center once again(third day). Bodyshop person and Amit both were trying to convince that color is same however same company another service center already confirmed that paint is not matching. Finally, agreed on repaint but they can't do this today so I need to bring that car again in the same service center. On Monday(fourth time), car picked-up in the morning for a repaint and I also asked to work on the same problems one more time that I've asked during the last job card.


I got my car back in the evening and you wouldn't believe, this time, the paint color was matching but there's a big paint drop. I showed that drop to the same executive at the same time and asked why he didn't check. Called service manager, picked(H N Singh) but no response.


Another incident happened when I was going on a marriage with my family, speedometer suddenly started showing ABS warning. Again shocked, how come new car show ABS warning while I'm already driving since few mins. I was on the highway, called Tata Motors Customer Care. They provided a person number for help, who already left Tata Motors before 6 months. Why that person would handle old company's problems however he still guided me that drive slow and push breaks slow and don't drive much. Take your car to the service center as may be the motor is damaged. Attaching video link that I captured on the road while driving. How can you expect this kind of issues with your new car?


I complained about multiple channels, such as Tata Motors Toll-Free Number, TATA Motors Service Connect App, North office in Gurugram, social channels such as Facebook, Twitter, and LinkedIn, email to Tata officials but no solution.


I already visited 4-5 times to service center and with every complaint, they want me to either visit the service center or schedule pickup. They corrected the issue but after a few days, old or new issues back which means this car is a defective piece.


Another incident when I was returning from Alwar to Faridabad on Highway, driving the car at the speed of 70-80 and suddenly tailgate open automatically. This incident happened just after 3 days of service. I could lose the balance and on the highway, anything can happen to me and my family.


Another example of Tata poor customer service: I finally got my same car RC after 78 days of vehicle purchase and no update in-between time period. Customer needs to check multiple times about the status.


I lost my piece of mind, a lot of business due to multiple visits to the service center(from one city to another), finding time to approaching to multiple channels for complaint & help but at the end highly unsatisfied.


Whatever is happening to me, shouldn't happen to anybody else and this is the motive to write this post. Tata cars are highly unsafe and unreliable. Please, please, please don't buy for the safety of your and your family members.
