This is my 3rd review in mouth shut .com. I would like to thanks the entire mouth shut team and people for their reviews which helped me in taking a right decision.
On 15th feb.'12 I got my Tata Nano 2012 ( CX model) which costed me 2.15 lakhs on Delhi road. While taking this many people demotivated me by saying "YAAR KYA GARIBON WALI GAADI LE RAHE HO" they also advised me to go for Alto or ALTOK10 as the cost is approx. 50-60K more. I tried that but K10 costs somewhere around 3.23 lakhs and Alto approx.3Lkhs, hence there's a difference of approx. 1 lakh. I did not listen to them I went for Nano.... there were many reasons...
1) I have a family of 3, and in Nano 4 people can adjust very easily same like Alto. The leg in space is very very good. The car is loaded with power window, coloured bumpers, very effective A.C., tubeless tyres etc.
2) Pick up and Mileage: The pickup is very descent even though you are riding with 4 people. Last month with my family and a neighbor and her 5 year old daughter (in total 4 Adults and 1 kid) went for out ting. Delhi – Mendipur-Jaipur- Ajmer and back to Delhi, in which I covered 1150 KMs. I got a mileage of 22KMs PL on highways (with A.C) with a max speed of 90Km/Hr.(yes you have to sacrifice on that), the comfort, pickup, cooling was simply superb (even in climate of Rajasthan). In Delhi traffic I get a descent mileage of 19-20 KM/PL.
Guys please do not compare this car with any other cars like alto, K10 etc. As in K10 or Alto get a max speed of 110-120 KM/Hr. and here you get 90 (just a matter of 20) more over Slow drive is a Long life. Moreover you would be paying Rs 1 lakh more. Before comparing please do compare the price TOO.
This car is no at all good for those people who love Speed, thrills, tashan etc etc. This is a very good innovation for a small and middle class people who had a dream to own a car. Before this I had Maruti 800 and believe me space is approx. 25% more in Nano than 800. For the first time who ever sits in my Car say only one thing, ” WOW inner space and comfort is very good”. You can park the car very easily in small space too.. And even girls would love to take ride by saying “what a cute car”.
Sounds like an auto or tempo: Yes its bit noisy when compared with other cars, but I have already mentioned earlier that not to compare this car as this is the only car in its segment. Let me tell you guys if you sit inside with windows closed, the noise is almost not audible. Even 10% noise might distract you but the comfort that u get inside will make you forget the noise too.
Brothers in Rs 2.15 Lakhs you are getting A.C, heater (which will protect you from heat, cold, rain), you are more secured than what you were on bike, you can take your family anywhere and at any time (you don’t have to wait for an auto or call a cab) what else you want????
In short if you have a small family and you are not too extravagant you can go with this cute car you will not regret.
Hope this review will help you in taking a decision. Guys this is just my Views, there are many people who did not like this car, but today also people turn around and see only two types of cars, 1st -Very very expensive cars like BMW , Audi etc and the other is TATA NANO, and that’s what I have.
