The first time when Tata Motors had announced the launch of Tata Nano and the booking was opened, I wanted to book one but somehow missed it. A year and half later I got the opportunity to buy my first car i.e. Tata Nano.
Before the decision to buy this small wonder, there were lot of thoughts and comparisons which are usually a part of our buying behaviour. But despite all the negative inputs, I went ahead in buying one.
The reason why I am writing this day is because, my Nano has been driven and tested for more than 30, 000 KM in about 1 year from its purchase and still is as good as a new one. My daily travel is a minimum of 120 kms through peak traffic and long highways and trust me the car has never ever given up. It has been smooth and steady even at higher speeds of 70-80 kmph.
While coming to the space inside the car, my brother is 6 feet and 3 inches in height and he has a comfortable leg space both in the front seats and also the back seats. Also if you are running with few more people that you usually do, the back seat can comfortably accommodate 3 healthy adults.
The engine has excellent power and since it is positioned in the rear of the car you definitely will feel the push rather than the pull. I am not talking about the bhps and the other ergonomics but from a user point of view it is a small, swift and reliable car that money can buy.
While comparing with other competitions such as Hyundai Eon and Honda Brio, Nano is value for money with excellent service. The service guys of Tata Motors pay the same attention to a Nano owner as they do to their other premium cars and thus never make you feel to own a less expensive car.
Therefore, with first hand experience of driving a Nano for more than 30, 000 KM, I recommend the car and hope that people drive it, admire it and cherish the experiences.
